The Beginning of A New World

The Beginning of A New World

waited. There was some slight irritation where the laser was hitting him but other than that, nothing. Suddenly, a strange feeling appeared. He felt like there was something new inside his head. The robotic voice came again and gave further instructions. "Please close your eyes and concentrate. Imagine a safe place, any place, you are standing inside it. No one else can get in here, this is your personal palace..." Somehow Sheng Chen could feel himself falling asleep. The robotic voice sounded a bit hypnotic and Sheng Chen couldn't help but follow its directions. He did as told but after several minutes nothing happened. He kept trying over and over again and finally after a full hour h

Second Bloom

Second Bloom

The distinction, they have agreed, is in the degree. The third section takes another hour. The fourth arrives faster than the third — this is always the pattern with a brief that has been properly incubated: the first half is excavation, the second half is emergence. She knows this and works with it, doesn't push against it. By the time Ethan brings tea at four, she has a complete first draft. "Done?" he says. "First pass," she says. "I'll read it tomorrow when it's cold." "Good habit."

Second Chance, Final Draft

Second Chance, Final Draft

If I wanted to cut my losses, the only option was to write something new, fast. I sat down at my desk, cleared my head, and gripped my pen. The Gemini tattoo on my back started to heat up, like something inside me was about to break loose. Nothing I could write would be more suspenseful than what I was living through, so I poured everything into the story. I wove what happened in my last life into the plot. There was no way Bryan could have lived through the same thing as me. After a week, I finished an 80-thousand-word novella. I called Samuel over and handed him the manuscript in person.

SURROGATE FOR THE COLD BILLIONAIRE

SURROGATE FOR THE COLD BILLIONAIRE

Dominic's POV The vows are harder than I expected. Not because I don't know what I want to say. Because I know exactly what I want to say and putting it in sentences feels like dismantling something I've spent thirty-nine years constructing. I write the first draft at my desk at eleven on a Thursday night while Emma studies in the bedroom. Three paragraphs. I read them back and delete everything. Too formal. Sounds like a contract. Second draft. Too much. Reads like a confession to a therapist.

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

We had broken out of the manuscript, but the manuscript was still eating the world we had left behind. I took the small piece of white chalk I had carried from the clearing and walked to the corner of the stone chimney. I didn't draw a perimeter, and I didn't write an assignment. On the rough, grey basalt of the foundation stone, beneath the old woman's rocking chair, I wrote the first true index of our new life: "PAGE 1: THE HOME GROUND."

Shadows of Desire

Shadows of Desire

The letter began and ended a dozen different ways. The first draft was cold, clinical, more like an article than a confession. “My name is Cassandra Monroe, and I entered Elysium on assignment…” I crumpled it after the second line, hating how impersonal it sounded.

She's an adult she can do whatever she wants. I'm writing nonstop like never before, it's been great actually. Immediately after work, I take a nap, wake up have a bath, eat and start writing. I've been loving this book since I started writing it. I haven't shown anyone my first draft, not even Nathan or Rene. I want to finish it first. I'm so lost in the world I've created but I'm interrupted by my ringtone. Who could be calling me by this time of the night? It's eleven-thirty for Godsakes.

Vashti's Daughter

Vashti's Daughter

Breach either, be it friend, family, or business, and that person was out of her universe forever. After getting comfortable on her couch, Anna turned to the first page and started reading. Unlike the first time she began the manuscript, she was relieved to find that both her mind and body remained in her present home. She relaxed a bit more and scanned through the first several paragraphs, her usual first read-through method before she decided to either dump the rest of the book, or actually take her time to read every word. It didn’t take her more than a quick look for her to decide to commit to a thorough reading, even though it appeared she had heard, or rather dreamt, or maybe lived, th

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

"Ahh! Yeah, I remember how's your novel going on? Are you planning to put it as an entry for this coming International Contest?" I took my laptop, open it and handed it to her. " Look, it's kind of plain right now. I don't have any inspiration at the moment." She took my laptop and read my outline and prologue. The genre of my novel is Drama and at the moment I can't feel too much drama and that is why I barely have something to write on. After reading my outline, she looked at me and smiles awkwardly while closing my laptop, I knew it. "Uhm, you can still work on it, right? I mean it's okay but it's a little bit too plain if you'd ask me."

Teacher's Pet

Teacher's Pet

If this was how it felt with my clothes still on then what would it feel like with him inside me? Ethan stopped for an instant, but before I could complain he brushed his knuckles against my pussy and then pinched the lips together with two of his fingers with the third pressed to my opening, making me arch my back in pleasure. By now, I was shamelessly drenched. Damn! How could I be drenched when I had never been with this guy before? Girl, you’ve been daydreaming about this day for ages! Remember your first novel? My conscience told me, but I was too far gone to care, or try to stop him…until I remembered that my know-it-all inner voice was right. This was part of my first novel! Ethan was

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!
