Something wasn't right, and I would be glad if someone could give me a lead. After she conveyed her message, she left, and then I tried to concentrate on the work on my desk. I had a lot to review, ranging from novels to articles, and documentaries. I worked fucking hard to be ridiculed. I picked up the first novel manuscript from the cart full of papers then I opened the first chapter. It was a werewolf contemporary novel, and it got me drowned for a while until Mr. Bernard barged in with a pile of files. I raised my head to see him, shutting the door with his feet.

Dearest reader, When I first started writing this story, I had no idea what I was stepping into. Dante and Alera’s world began as a whisper in my head. Thier love was a messy, aching kind that demanded to be told and somehow, it became my very first published book on GoodNovel. This journey has been everything but easy. It’s been a learning and humbling curve. I’ve stumbled, grown, rewritten, cried, and smiled through every chapter. But most importantly, I’ve learned that stories have a way of healing not just the characters but the person writing them too.

Since English is not my first language and also, it's the first draft of the story, you all might encounter some mistakes that gradually decrease with the proceeding chapters. The specific memory of the first morning she had sat in Riven's chair at the breakfast table, and the morning of the silver flash, and the morning she had put brandy in my hand and told me to drink it, and the morning I had watched her eat the half slice of lemon and understood what I was going to build for the rest of my life. I wrote six drafts. The first was too formal. The second overcorrected into something that read as pleading. The third was good but too long, losing the directness that the situation required. The fourth and fifth were variations on the third. The sixth, which I wrote at eleven at night while Lyanna slept and the house was quiet, finally had the quality I was looking for.
