Not fully solid, not like an ordinary creature made of flesh, but detailed enough that my breath caught on them. Each one edged in golden linework, each one holding a luminous texture like a memory of metal and flame and ancient skin given phantom life. A body vast and elegant and unmistakably dragon unfurled above us, airy and radiant but not intangible in the way fog is intangible. More like spirit given true geometry. Power choosing outline.
