they muttered in agreement. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. “Good. Now, let’s focus on what matters. Damien is getting ground because we’re not united. We need to improve our defenses and plan our next move carefully.” “Alpha,” Marcus said warily, “what about the Luna? What do we do about her?” I glared at him. “She stays where she is. Locked up. Out of sight, out of mind.” “But Alpha,” Gavin began, but I cut him off.

It'd be better if the coronation happened as quickly as possible. “You just woke up from hibernation, there's no way we can arrange the coronation so quickly." Another elder protested, looking to get head council's back up as if whatever they said would matter to me. “It can be arranged.” I continued, “We'll have every female gather at the Coldfire Forest today; there we can easily scout out my supposed Luna.“ I rolled my eyes at the thought of having a mate. I didn't believe in the so-called mate matching by the moon goddess. The only reason for my acceptance of the coronation was because it was something I, even as Alpha, couldn't refuse.

Don't let me continue to endure this, goddess. Ten minutes of tears mingled with prayers later, I rose from my seat. Enough was enough. I couldn't remain weak like this. Crying wouldn't resolve anything. It was time to reveal my true self. I was Luna – resilient and steadfast. Even as Alpha Alex prepared to remarry, I remained Luna within this pack. My identity would not waver. I would give birth to the future alpha, safeguarding what was rightfully mine from that woman. I had to be strong for the sake of my unborn child. I was certain I could do it.

My sobs shook through me, raw and ugly, but I didn’t care anymore. The Alpha crouched down, forcing my chin up so I had to look into those glowing eyes. His hand was cold against my skin, his grip cruel. “That’s what I wanted to hear,” he whispered, his voice like poison. “So do you agree to be my Luna?.” I tried to jerk my face away but he held tighter, making me wince. I couldn't stand the thought of being his. “I will never be your Luna!” The words flew out of my mouth before I could stop them.

She turned her face into Dante’s palm for a second, drawing strength from his certainty, before looking back at the Echo and the endless mirrors. “Then the waiting is over,” Luna declared, her voice now ringing with a new, undeniable resonance. It was no longer the voice of a girl who questioned her place. It was the voice of a woman announcing her arrival. “I am Luna, daughter of Alarick, the Last Alpha King. The hidden heir. The Silver Wolf.” She let her gaze sweep over the visions of potential futures—the glorious and the terrible. “The prophecy gave me a choice. I choose to reign.”

the old woman prompted. "Yes," responded Nadine, a woman with dark hair and a physique that exuded strength and agility, reminiscent of a warrior or a seasoned fitness instructor. Standing at 170 cm, her muscular frame was accentuated by the simple dark singlet she wore. "Luna Queen class refers to a special group of destined Lunas meant to support the Alpha King. Typically, they are bound to their own destined Alphas. However, if their destined Alpha perishes or is slain, these Lunas have the autonomy to choose which Alpha King candidate to support. They can even align with a non-destined Alpha from their own pack, aiding him in his quest to become the Alpha King.

It was at this time, Andrea came back, and she landed on Frost's back. " Anita, I got some information for you." " Tell me." Anita's expression changed immediately. Andrea took a deep breath and responded, " Alpha Zayn's pack is under a calamity for the past a decade. They have been having an attack from unknown creatures, and the priestess told them, the arrival of the Luna can put an end to all that. As of right now, the beta is organizing a ceremony of maiden picking for the Alpha, cause they couldn't wait anymore."

“But our newfound faith was met with tragedy. Alpha's enemies threatened the life of the infant Luna, so the Beta and his wife absconded with her. Alpha searched for many years, but they remained hidden. They covered their tracks well, and eventually, we gave up hope. Then one night, just as Alpha had expected, his foes discovered them first. The Beta and his mate were murdered, and we feared the child had fallen into hostile hands. We all knew how volatile Alpha's mood had become, and we thought he would seek vengeance. But destiny was on our side because our Luna was safe. She came back to us. One day, you’ll meet her. You are more alike than you know. She believes she is human. It’s Alpha

"No one's going to use you… or hunt you… or decide what you are before I do." That was the Alpha speaking. But underneath it — something else. Something softer. I sat back again, eyes still locked on her. "Just wake up…"
