Lyra’s POV After Four Years The flight landed in Yellowknife. I collected my luggage and looked around for my uncle. It had been four years since I left this city, but nothing seemed to have changed much here. I hadn’t returned to Yellowknife in the last four years, since my term break always coincided with Hera’s birthday. My uncle always invited Zephyrus and his friends to celebrate Hera’s birthday, and I had no wish to face them, especially Leandros and his chosen mate.

FIVE YEARS LATER Scarlett’s POV I walked on the pavement with my four-year-old daughter, Emily, clinging to my hand. We'd just gotten back from a grueling job interview and I was extremely exhausted. It's been four years since my stay in New York and I've been trying several means to make ends meet and provide a better life for Emily. The city buzzed with activities and the bright light seemed to mock me as I made my way to a small kiosk, wanting to buy a few toys for Emily.

‌That ni‍ght, after presents and dinner and stories, after all four kids are fin‌all⁠y asleep⁠, Amo‌n and I collapse on⁠ the couch. “‍We s‍urvi‍ved another year,” h⁠e says. “W⁠e did more than surv‍ive. We thr⁠ived.” “Four​ years since Aya‍n‍a died. C​an you believ⁠e it?” Fou‍r yea‍rs.​ It feels like b‍o‍t‍h y‍esterday and⁠ fo‌rever ago.

Aisha's POV The Paris sky that evening was a golden orange, reflecting the shadows of streetlights on the bustling city sidewalk. I sat on the balcony of my apartment, watching the hustle and bustle below while sipping on warm tea. Five years had passed since I left my old life. Five years since I chose to disappear. Along the way, I had found a new self, but the shadows of the past still clouded my mind. I was no longer the weak woman who felt unworthy of love. Now, I was a respected heart surgeon.

(RORY'S POV) (FOUR YEARS LATER) Four years. That was how long I had been at Yale. And in one week, I would be graduating. I stood in front of the mirror in my off-campus apartment, staring at my reflection. The girl looking back at me was different from the seventeen-year-old who had arrived here with tear-stained cheeks and a star necklace pressed against her heart.

Four Years Later “Daddy, who are we waiting for?” my oldest daughter, Theia, stage-whispers to my mate. I see him glance at me from the corner of his eye and I know what he’s going to do before he does it. He whisper-yells right back. “We’re waiting for Tate if he ever gets his poop together and comes out.” I see a flash of light and I know that Tate heard him. Cayd and Tate have always been close and that hasn’t changed in the five years that Cayd and I have been together.

I returned the salute, though I felt a faint sense of melancholy. That night, after I drove those men away, a passerby had taken me to the hospital. I never expected that Fabian would return afterward and assume my identity. Because of that, I had endured five years of shame while Tiffany suffered five years of abuse! If I could do over, and if it meant betraying my conscience, I would never have gotten involved in this mess. With the truth laid bare, Tiffany finally came to her senses. She scrambled to my feet, sobbing and pleading.

ALORA 4 YEARS LATER Four years. It didn’t sound like much when said out loud, but living it was different. Four years was enough time to learn the rhythm of peace, enough time to rebuild trust one small moment at a time, enough time to breathe without expecting the next disaster to roll in like a storm. Four years was enough to fall in love with life again. I watched the time pass in the eyes of my children. How they developed their little bodies and I heard their first words and they started to walk and run.

Did he really have that much free time to tutor me? “Who cares, I'm so going to pretty you up” Phoebe smiled brightly rushing over to grab her make up kit. “It's just tutoring,” I reminded her. “Yes, yes I know” she winked at me. “Also Daphne, did you know Avery was a year above us?” Phoebe asked and I just stared at the both of them. “So what?” Daphne asked, sighing before plopping her headphones on her head. “I still have time before I have to meet him, I need to rest” I sighed, tossing back on my bed and Phoebe blew raspberry.

************************** Weeks Later Time had passed since Gina's unexpected reunion with Natalie, and life had settled into a new rhythm. Gina had rekindled her friendship with Natalie, spending hours on the phone catching up on missed years and planning for future get-togethers.
