The night everything changed
Not now.
Without a word, I shoved past him, bolting for the elevator. My hands shook as I jabbed the button, willing the doors to close before he followed.
As soon as they did, I sagged against the wall, gasping for air.
What the hell just happened?
Four years.
Four years without a word from him. And now, out of nowhere, here he was.
Why now ?
The moment I stepped outside, my phone buzzed in my hand, snapping me out of my daze.
