Or it could be a wolf that looks like that." Darice still did not believe Ana's words. Ana just shrugged her shoulders lazily to explain more. They both went back to drinking coffee while busy with their own thoughts. "Hurry up and finish your coffee, class will start soon." Darice reminded Ana to hurry up. The summer before eighth grade, Abby and I had been playing pretend fairies outside for the past week, fluttering and skipping in the humidity of the woods. Which resulted in me always reading books and I was okay with that. When I was reading my books I would visualize the world that was described on the many pages in my hands. Dragons, castles, dystopian worlds, and so much more. The characters became my friends, enemies, and sometimes lovers. I imagined me living in the stories as an escape from my horrible reality. I would do it now, but I didn't think David will give me books I like. "I know there are a lot of options. How about the Lion King?" David asked.

I took my hands off the tree and fell back, only to land on an ultra-soft mattress. I blinked, looking up to realize I was not in the forest anymore but a fancy bedroom of some old-school fairytale castle. This is seriously messing with me. And how did I end up under these blankets?
