Tempted by my Godlike boss
I asked as we walked toward the front of the house.
“One of my men mentioned the feed kept glitching,” Gabriel said. “Probably nothing, but with everything going on, I’d rather check it myself.”
We walked around the side of the house, Gabriel’s eyes scanning the walls and bushes carefully. He stopped suddenly near a small hedge close to the window of the study, crouching down slightly.
“Florian,” he said, his voice tight. “Come look at this.”
I moved closer, and that’s when I saw it, a small black device, no bigger than a coin, tucked carefully into the leaves of the hedge, almost invisible unless you knew exactly what you were looking for.
