August dismissed the figure as not Drust, because this person stood much shorter and groaned over the parcel he carried. With no more time to deliberate it, August struck. He brained Fagan on the top of his head, drilling the bone in his right hand into the mop of the blacksmith’s hair. August’s strike caused an immediate reaction as the thick man dropped the bag he carried.
