Scarred by fate
Alice is wearing a sage green halter neck bikini with a black sarong, looking equally flawless.
Meanwhile, I’m feeling anxious about getting my scars out in front of everyone. But I’m also very keen to wipe that protective, entitled look off my brother’s and his friends’ faces. The girls brought two options for me. A navy-blue one-piece—definitely the more modest and probably safer choice. But with its plunging back, it wouldn’t cover my scars anyway. The other is the pretty white bikini with pale blue lace detail Alice gave me the other day.
“I didn’t know how comfortable you’d be in a bikini, Za, so I brought this as an option,” she says, nodding to the one-piece.
