Freya didn't want to embarrass herself, so she didn't struggle anymore. She uttered in an icy voice, "Alright, I'll give you two minutes to explain. But you have to let go of me first." Freddy didn't let go. "Promise me that you won't run away." Freya repeated, "Let go of me." Freddy let go of Freya, but he did not withdraw his hand completely for fear that he wouldn't be able to grab hold of her if she tried to run away. "Honey, I love you. You're the only one I love! You won't have to wait long for it to take effect." Freddy took the small vial, weighing it in his hand as if admiring a precious artifact. "Magnificent," he murmured, staring at the liquid inside—a deep purple, almost black, shimmering faintly as the vial moved. Then he opened the vial's lid. A pungent scent wafted out, bringing a satisfied smile to his face. "Ten seconds? That's a short time to render Era unconscious."

Back in the day, he’d rebelled against his parent’s wishes, smoked far too much weed, and somehow ten years of his life slipped away. Now, at twenty-eight, Freddy was pulling his life together. Not only was he almost finished with his Bachelor of Science at the community college, but he’d also cut back on the weed and booze so he could help more at The Grind.

I inquired, curiosity piqued Freddie smiled. “ My day is great. My wife and kids are doing great as well.” “ So would you like to hang out later tomorrow or maybe tonight?.” I suggested, grinning. “ Remember what happened when we hung out together.” Freddie said and I chuckled. " Alright then. Tomorrow at 3 pm.”
