Lilith raised a hand, and every warrior present dropped to their knees, gasping, clutching their heads.
Except me.
I stared at her.
She tilted her head, as if seeing me for the first time. “Curious. The moon has favored you… and cursed you.”
“What do you want?” I asked, heart hammering.
“A choice,” she said. “Surrender your light, and I’ll spare your bloodline.”
I stepped forward, ignoring Evan’s warning growl behind me. “You don’t scare me.”
“You should be terrified.”
For a split second, her eyes glowed beneath the mask, ancient, endless, devouring. The mask cracked slightly, and I saw the barest glimpse of her face beneath.
