If Paisley couldn't decide, then I would decide for her. Timothy simply smiled and fell silent. The weather was perfect today, and I felt lighthearted and at peace. Letting someone go became a way for me to reclaim my own freedom. In the afternoon, Paisley appeared, her face clouded with worry. She had spent all day texting me, but I never opened or replied to any of her messages. Fearing I might be upset, she decided to come over instead. Without a word, I got into the car.

The silence that followed was the kind that meant people were deciding on something. Thomas Wyatt looked at Raymond. Raymond Cole looked at Gerald. Then he looked at Freddie. A long moment. "Twenty four hours," Raymond said quietly. "Not a minute more." Freddie nodded once. "That's all I need from you." --- He got back at his desk by ten fifteen. Brett picked up on the second ring. "I need you to move on this now," Freddie said. "Today. The board has given me twenty four hours to produce something solid and I need you to find me the thread that unravels all of this."

Freddy massages his jaw, chuckling. "You're something, I'll give you that, puta," he smirks. "But I'll tell 'ya it was a dumbass move." I didn't have the luxury of time to quarrel because my mind was telling me to kill him. I learned a moment ago that Freddy was a resistant man. Hurting him to buy time doesn't work so I'll have to kill him. Now. Before he kills me. Before he kills Harriet.

Freddy opened the door from inside. When Aster got in, Freddy quickly shut the door, as if he was afraid that Larissa would change her mind. Chuckling, Larissa got into the front seat. She turned around and asked Freddy, "What game are you going to play with Aster?" Like magic, Freddy produced an iPad and started a game with colorful visuals. Sounds of cheerful music echoed in the car. Freddy and Aster were around the same age, so they had common interests. After a while, Aster's attention was focused on the game and both of them played together happily.

Freya Said all of a sudden. “Come on, Frey. It has not gotten to that point. She is just jealous and probably obsessed with Tiffany.” Timothy chided her. “And so? What do jealous and obsessed people do? They hurt their target when they can't get them or what they want. Haven't I warned you not to call me Frey?” Freya asked, blowing hot. “Hey, take a chill pill.” Timothy said. “Seriously, guys? We were having a serious conversation and all of a sudden you started throwing tantrums?” Tiffany asked, upset.

Freya’s POV The rest of the car ride felt like a slow, suffocating nightmare. I tried everything to get away. I twisted my wrists against the chains until the metal bit into my skin. I shifted toward the door, fumbling blindly for the handle, hoping—praying—I could somehow force it open before the car picked up speed again. “Stop moving,” Killian growled lazily. I ignored him. I tugged harder, bracing my foot against the door as I pulled at the chain. If I could just—

“Come on, man. Let’s catch up. It has been a while.” Freddy didn’t indulge him. The action spitted Tristan. “Really? Maybe we should talk about sweet Francine.” He sneered in his ears. “She will be mine, soon. It is inevitable.” Tristan continued, chuckling darkly. “When you are done with her, I would like to have a go at her. Bet she is still as sweet as I remember.” He smiled, tauntingly. Freddy took the bait and balled his fists to aim squarely for Tristan’s jaw. His punch connected, sending Tristan to the ground. Everyone gasped at what just happened.

Yes, that's close enough. And to know that her eyes still light up, the same way they did when we started connecting, fills my heart with utmost joy. Clara replayed the whole conversation with Aiden. She still didn’t know why she had snapped at him. It really wasn't a big deal. He picked her up, went along with her for the taking tasting. Even went as far as tasting all the cake flavors presented to them like a giddy child. It was nice, adorable, and it felt so cute. Clara found it hard to believe he had a sweet tooth. Eladia bit her lip as she looked up towards the clock hanging on the wall. “A little over three minutes.” My eyes widened, and I shot up, hobbling over to the closet to slip on the red high heels. I swiveled around and almost ran out of the door behind Eladia as she led the way. My heels clicked against the floor, which further annoyed me along with the slit going up my thigh. “If I move the wrong way, I could flash someone!” I whisper to Eladia who just giggled. “You look marvelous and you'll do perfect.” Her words did little to encourage me, but I still tried to calm my nerves with a deep breath.
