Yet another fantasy Prologue Legora, the largest capital city in the world. Once one of nine, now there are four. We had lost five cities in the great calamity. Creatures from god knows where poured in from a tear in the earth. A dimensional tear in space and time the men of science called it, but really who the fuck knows? All I know is they were bigger, stronger, looked nothing like us and they outnumbered us hundred to one.

I had so much time on my hands I could read every one of these books. I found three that sounded interesting then went to the cafe for a watermelon lemon water, I never heard of a drink like that before. I found a nice big chair on the outside patio and opened my first book. It immediately pulled me into the story. It was an action adventure that followed the life of a strong Beta devoted to his pack. He had to marry a fairy to bring more protection to his people. This book said fairies had magic that seeped out of their pores, making any submit to their wishes. It was a fictional tale so I wasn't sure if anything was true, but it was an exciting adventure.

I deserved better, this stupid year was just kicking my ass. Assuring myself of this, I took a deep breath out, running a hand through my hair as I crossed the road, headed straight into the library, putting my phone into my jacket pocket. The town library was exceptionally big, not too large though, but I must admit could hold quite a lot of books as they were rows upon rows. I made my way straight to the books about fantasy creatures, realizing that they were surprisingly many. Young Adult fantasy is a thing...like a big deal, I noted reading through so interesting titles, but not the specific one I was looking for.

Eventually, with my arms full, I found Nicholas still in the fantasy section. He was engrossed in a thick hardcover, his brow furrowed in concentration. “Find something good?” I asked, approaching him. “Possibly. But I think you might like this one.” He handed me a paperback with an image of a woman wielding a sword on the front. I read the title aloud. “‘The Lycan Chronicles.’ Hmm, never heard of it.” “It’s a fantasy series,” he explained, still flipping through his own book. “Great world-building, complex characters...” He glanced up and smirked. “Plus, it has some... steamy scenes.”

There was a book and a pen on the coffee table, though, which was something. Crystal leaned over, picked it up, and was disappointed to discover that it wasn't a diary or journal. The title on the book's jacket read: Howard's Amazing Adventure- and according to the back cover, the book told the story of an alien rabbit that had accidentally broken into the earth. Crystal picked up the book, turned a few pages randomly, and finally put it down indifferently.

One time at work I'd even heard a co-worker called me the-Squidward-from-spongebob. Exactly why I hated them. That morning I'd just gotten up and, traditionally, said my good mornings to Sam triple zero eight, then the story stroke up. We were having a conversation of a book I'd just finished reading, 'No, Mr Harry Botter, do not turn me into a witch.' Believe me, it was a real book alright. The author was named Harry Botter, so he was the main character of his novel. Stories like that, what do they call them again? Paranormal stories, they were always fun to read. Partly because they were stupid, other part, they were nonsense. Nothing but ridiculous lies.

Most are fairy tales- Half-fish people want to be full people. A princess trying to beat her pre-destined fate. Children who are abandoned in the woods try to find their way home. There are several stories within the book." "Sounds interesting," I replied, watching Bart rejoin us. I got up quickly to help him with the trays.

The vast city of Greiner is nestled in a lush valley, surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests. I knew there was only one way to find out. Cheating just a little, I asked Mhairi to tell me how the fantasy book ended. She grinned and obliged me, seeming to know what I was asking. As soon as she was done I pulled out my crystal and found Benton in my database. I hope you don't mind me bothering you to talk about books but I just finished reading a fantasy story, and I enjoyed it so much I'd like more to read. You're the only person I know who might have recommendations though! Do you know any good books I could read?
