Reaching for a book on my shelf, a worn-out copy of "Mythology of the Supernatural," I felt a sense of comfort. Kaltain Kingdom Leiya Helion brought me a bunch of novels to read while I recovered my strength completely. It was funny because they were all novels about a hero on a conquest, but falls in love along the way in the most unexpected way possible. I spent all my day reading and giggling at how silly it sounded but I kept reading. “You seem to be properly entertained." His voice distracted me and I looked up. “This book is so cliche.” I rolled my eyes, violently slamming it face down on my bed.

My first stop was the romance section, hoping to find a few good books to take back to my room for some relaxing reading. As I scanned the titles, one in particular caught my eye: The Toad and Her Man. The title alone made me burst into laughter. It was so absurdly funny that I couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of what the story might entail. I decided to add it to my growing stack of books.

Fantasy is a genre I am based on and this is why I believe my next book is going to bring me more fame though not everyone will recognize me. Meanwhile, I closed the laptop and breathed a sigh of relief before standing up from the chair. I yawned and stretched my hand and back.

Luckily it was still in my reach, and in no time, I looked at the cover. “Wilhelm Gray,” I snorted, admiring the author. “You read him too?” I looked to the side, seeing Rael slightly surprised, and if I dared say, intrigued. I looked back at the book in my hand before I nodded. “Of course! His books were a big part of my childhood." From his pleasant mix of comedies and adventure, each book he made stripped away the human condition, alluding to the deeper realities through playful fantasy-like or mystery worlds. They taught me lessons I kept till date, and I was sure even now I could still enjoy it.

I had so much time on my hands I could read every one of these books. I found three that sounded interesting then went to the cafe for a watermelon lemon water, I never heard of a drink like that before. I found a nice big chair on the outside patio and opened my first book. It immediately pulled me into the story. It was an action adventure that followed the life of a strong Beta devoted to his pack. He had to marry a fairy to bring more protection to his people. This book said fairies had magic that seeped out of their pores, making any submit to their wishes. It was a fictional tale so I wasn't sure if anything was true, but it was an exciting adventure.

I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.
