Funny Sad Memes Novels & Stories

Go stand near some water and send me a mind-link of what you look like’ I could have told her I was already looking at myself in some water but decided not to. ‘This is not funny, what have you done to us all. How long are we going to look like bloody circus freaks? How are we supposed to be able to hunt when we look like this?’ I tried to make myself sound angry but in all honestly. I was with Chad it was kind of funny and at least we were not a highlighter like Steve. ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t think’ Shit I could feel her sadness though the link ‘Hey babe, don’t be sad. I look like an idiot’ I quickly sent her an image of what I looked like hoping that it would cheer her up.

“Sad people one. And sad people two.” “Which category do you think I fall in?” “Sad people two.” I stick out a V with my fingers. “They are the delusional sad people. They think they are happy if they stay away from feeling sad. Does that sound about right?” He shrugged again. “What about category three?” My brows knitted together. “There is no category three.” “There are.” He pointed his index finger at his forehead as he smiled. “People who shit themselves in a high-school house party with fifty guests because a jumpscare came on.”

"The Event of the Year! Sky-Bound Action Scene!" I looked like a puppet on strings in the video, with my limbs stretched out and suspended in midair. I was grimacing terribly as the shot zoomed in on my face. I scrolled down and noticed a sea of mocking laughter below the video. "Dominic's expression is so meme-worthy!" "Lisa is so impressive for putting in so much effort just to make the school heartthrob happy!" "Dominic actually pissed himself! Does anyone want a close-up shot of that?" "I'll pay good money for it as long as you send it to me!"

It was like someone had loosened a knot that I did not know was there. By the next week the messages stretched longer. She started sending memes that was about anxiety brain fog. A cartoon character that was staring blankly at the wall with the caption “when your thoughts are buffering.” I laughed out loud in my kitchen. The sound made even me surprised. I replied with a crying laughing emoji and then I added. “Too real.”

“Oh thank God, backup. Jackson, explain memes to your boyfriend. He doesn’t understand why anyone would care about a woman yelling at a cat.” “It’s not that I don’t care,” Frost protested. “I just don’t understand the context. Is this a human realm inside joke? Did something happen with this specific woman and cat?” I couldn’t help but laugh, dropping my bag by the door. “Frost, it’s just a meme. It doesn’t have to make sense. That’s kind of the point.” “But—” “Nope.” Maya held up a hand. “We’re moving on. Next meme.” She scrolled down, and Frost leaned in closer, his expression adorably perplexed.

"That rope around my mother's neck... that rope that killed my mom, that thing brought a great fear in me. It's killing me. It's a painful souvenir from the past that always haunts me. H-how can I m-move on, Levi?" Slowly, he looked at me. What even broke my heart was to see him crying again. He was supposedly laughing with me, eating with me with his usual happy face, and teasing me to hell, but with his eyes looking at me so helplessly, and sobbing out his grief made me feel so bad about him. A broken heart transfigured with a funny personality. "Caius..." I whispered as I tapped his shoulder. "I'm t-tired..." he mumbled under his breath.

I gently touched my cheek. “I can’t believe people get scared of a pretty cute face like mine,” I whispered to myself, momentarily forgetting the previous night's drama, forgetting how I had physically shoved a terrified mistress back into my husband’s arms. “The only thing that brings me joy is me.” Knock. Knock. Knock. Three sharp, demanding raps shattered the quiet of the morning. My little smile faded instantly, wiped away by the tension tightening my shoulders.

“And instead, I got a boy who called me boring and a best friend who called me dramatic while she had his dick in her mouth.” I choked. “God. Why do I talk like this.” I started laughing again, but it was the manic kind, like the cry was too deep and too sharp so it turned into a giggle halfway through. “I’m a mess. I’m a full disaster. I’m going to end up in someone’s group chat as a meme. ‘Girl loses it after pulling ex’s pants down.’ I bet someone’s editing it right now with an Afrobeat track in the background. I bet Marcus is still inside trying to fix his underwear.”
