I walked into my office to see Kayla and my assistant, Nina passed out on the couch, they both looked so peaceful, I wasn't going to wake them up. Nina is a great assistant and I know she was going to feel very guilty when she woke up, but I let her sleep anyways. I got to work immediately, sorting fabrics and matching them. We were making huge plans to launch a new bikini line, and with the way preparations were underway, I was absolutely positive that we were going to take the world by storm. I made a mental note to have Nina tell me about the space we were renting for the big launch. My phone pinged, snapping me out of my concentration.

We are out on a team-building trip today. "Team-building?" "Basically, we came out to have some fun." Future Veronica did not reply right away. After a moment, she asked, "Is it March 20, 2025, on your side right now?" When I saw her message, I immediately switched screens and checked the date on my phone. It was indeed March 20, 2025. "Yes, that is the date," I replied. Right after I sent that, future Veronica continued, "Is the weather good today?"

"I... I thought the silence was the only way to keep you safe from her" "Safety is a cage!" I roared, the White Light of the Origin turning my entire being into a sun. "And I’m the one who’s burning the door down!" I lunged at the First Luna. We collided in the center of the Loom, a clash of Liquid Moonlight and Paradox Fire. The impact tore through the timeline, showing us the Future of the Fourteenth Cycle—a world where there were no Alphas, no Omegas, and no "Too Much" energy. Just a flat, silent plane of gold where nothing ever happened.

"Four of seven futures lead to survival. That's. better than expected." "What changed?" "Declan's defection. That's variable I didn't predict. Pack wolf joining packless resistance creates new possibilities. New futures. Some better than before." Sibyl shows her notes. "But four of seven still have you dying. Just. dying later. Dying with more impact." "I'll take those odds." The crew disperses. Everyone to their tasks. Building resistance. Recruiting wolves. Gathering intelligence. Preparing for hunters. Seven weeks until confrontation. Seven weeks to build something strong enough to survive.

With that, Rio got into the driver’s seat and drove me away. "Nina, we’ve found a pair of corneas that’s a match for you." When I heard Rio’s words, I felt genuinely happy. It felt like all the pain from the past was slowly healing, and at long last, I was about to start a new life.

I expected to hear my neck crack as it hit the hard ground, but strong arms caught my fall and pressed me close to a warm body. My heart began to beat faster. “What is your name?” my eyes darted to another man approaching us, all having the same face, and I shuddered at how identical they were. Sweet goddess, quadruplets?! How was anyone supposed to tell four of them apart?! They smiled at once, and then one said, “No one ever does.” I squeaked, clamping a hand over my mouth. There was no doubt about the fact that I was mute. Words weren’t coming out from my mouth now, so how were they reading my thoughts?

The word settled like a blade between my ribs. Calder crossed his arms. “There’s a fourth option.” Mireya smiled. Not kindly. Not cruelly. “Yes.” she said. “There is. But it requires a choice before nightfall.” I looked at my mates - four alphas, four wolves - bound to me not by convenience but by fate and fire. Whatever came next, it would not be mine alone. “Then we decide today.” I said. “Together.” Mireya’s gaze flicked to the windows, where clouds were already gathering though the morning was young.

Lira pov They're Alphas. Every instinct in me says so the second I lay eyes on them. Four of them. All towering. All watching me like I'm something fragile they don't know how to handle. And I hate that I'm frozen. I should be running. Screaming. Fighting. But I can't even breathe right. My legs won't work. My body's trembling too hard. I'm not sure if I'm going to collapse or pass out. Maybe both.

The corporation was gone, replaced by an optimized organism. "Anji?" Arga murmured from the floor, his voice small, pathetic, and undeniably hollow. He looked up at him with those empty, wide, adoring eyes—no more than a husk left behind by the soul he’d traded in to be part of the broadcast. "Go to the comms center," Anji said, his voice stripped of every human modulation. "Tell the Singapore node to engage Phase Four." "Yes, Master," Arga whispered. He crawled to his feet, walking out of the boardroom without even glancing at Sarah, his posture now indistinguishable from the other drone-level puppets stalking the halls of the lower floors.

And the gates slowly opened. Natasha stared ahead quietly as the vehicle entered the compound. Then she saw something unreal. And for the first time in a very long while, Natasha became completely speechless. The building standing ahead of them looked unreal. She saw massive glass structures stretched upward beneath glowing white lights. Sleek futuristic architecture blended with advanced energy systems she had never even seen before the apocalypse. Entire sections of the facility glitter softly beneath automated security beams while clean energy generators operated silently around the area. It looked less like something from the old world, and more like something built for the future.
