In the year 1720, Benders came into existence in the human world. They were violent creatures, venting out their anger on humans. According to the legends, Benders came from an alternate universe, through a magical cave. They were called Viatores. They promised redemption but it was false as they evolved into ferocious beasts, whom humans dreaded. Their species hurt humans for years, until research out that Mercury weakens them. But unlike the natural Mercury, this metallic substance was found in the cave that linked them to earth. A cave that couldn't be weakened or destroyed by any earthly weapons.

"Ye-ah. His name is… is -aack!" A figure of a hand converged from the wooden wall and it held Bum Pan's neck to death. Jace and Kaizer didn't expect it to happen and so they were too late because Bum Pan fell on the ground. A deep laugh from everywhere in the room echoed and the converging wooden wall became more pellucid. It became a figure of a man. A tall, large man that made Jace stepped backward with his chin up. He quickly drew his stance and aimed his revolver to the man. Kaizer on the other hand stood and said:

How would I breathe without her beside me? I caught movement in my peripheral. I shifted my gaze just in time to see Mario make a motion with his hand. He lunged for Veda as shots fired around me. In slow motion, I swung my arm to the left and pulled the trigger. Mario's right shoulder jerked back as my bullet caught him, but he didn't stop. He kept going, ducking behind Veda like the fucking coward he was and pulling her against him with his good arm as I took aim again.

Our first period after lunchtime, we had a batch of junior boys that first week. On Wednesday, one made himself my new favorite by creating a batarang. "Otherwise, it would be too hard for Batman to keep to his no killing policy." To my surprise, Wendy piped up from a couple of benches away. "Oh, come on. Batman has a no guns policy. Superman is the one with the no killing policy!"
