Bayou Whispers

Bayou Whispers

Getting the man’s name wrong was the least of their problems now. Roo’s cousin looked like a bald version of their late friend. From the exact same dark skin tone to the wild, bug-eyed look when angry. He even pointed a mean-looking shotgun at Fernández’s face the way Roo used to. “Whoa, man!” said Fernández, both hands up. “Let’s talk this out, okay?” “You killed my cousin,” said Tyrone. “There is nothing more to—” “The zombies killed your cousin,” said the Golem. His arms were folded across his chest and he sounded bored. “And we killed them back, so please, Timmy . . . ”

Spirit of Revenge

"Are you trying to say that General Gerald is trying to use us?" Chike said to Zara'm as he holds the iron cage. "Am hundred percent sure about that, he is a liar, he is trying to use both of you" Zara'm responded to them. "How sure are you?" Ike asked. "Are you still asking me how sure I am? wouldn't you use my condition now to find out that what am saying is true" Zara'm replied

A Dangerous Atrophy

A Dangerous Atrophy

Vaguely, the driver in the front seat said hesitantly, “Are you sure this is okay, Mr. Soros? That container is really hard to break, and you asked me to change the key. Someone might die.” There was a soft chuckle, lost amidst the wind. However, he heard the words that followed clearly. “So what if someone dies? Is it illegal to accidentally give them the wrong key? John Denham is the one engaging in such perverted games. He should be the one to worry.” The driver did not dare to say anything else, but his hand shook on the steering wheel. “She won’t die. If they really want to save her, they just have to hit it hard enough and it’ll break. It’ll just scare her a bit.”

ok, just finished reading. it's an engaging story.. though i prefer more tragic end, like Jane died and leave everyone in regrets and despair...LOL. also would like to know if Jason Dunn died or survived and what happened to Susie Thompson, Hyden etc.
Lair El Greco
Hands down. Kudos to the author! I cried buckets from beginning to end. Definitely not your walk to the theme park kind of love. It shows you that love comes in different shape and form, not just lip service. It's heavy but no regrets. Wish the sexy scenes could be a little more elaborate, though.

Godfather

Godfather

Octavious had on full black today, a black trench coat, black leather gloves, black Capone, black shoes…just black. I wanted to immediately apologise and say that Jessalyn forced me to run away and I would never do that to him. I wanted to immediately get on my knees and plead for my life because when his hazel eyes looked into my own orbs, I knew that there was no way that this was going to end okay. One of his bodyguards easily lifted his trench coat off his shoulder and held it on the crook of his arm delicately before Octavious held out his right hand towards his other bodyguard who placed a gold gun into his hand.

and not being sure if he was talking to the dog or me. Had he said good morning to anyone today? Had he woken up and thought about last night the way I kept thinking about it, with this desperate, consuming vividness? Or had he woken up to gunfire? "Evelyn." Belle's hands were on my shoulders. She was standing in front of me, her face level with mine. "Listen to me. Gabriel Ross is the most dangerous, most resourceful, most stubbornly alive man you have ever met. He has survived things that would have killed anyone else. If anyone in this world is capable of walking out of that compound, it's him."

You all have blood on your hands, you run a drug cartel, biggest in this part of the world. And Amber he's a serial killer, he kills people for fun. You trying to put Griffen to jail is no different from what you've been doing ". "No", James spoke up.

As soon as the noise was heard everyone had a hand on their guns even the body guards were alerted from the outside. "This not good, we be civil okay." Hoashi said in his Japanese accent. "The traffic in New York is mind blowing." Oskar got in leaving his body guard outside. Oskar Borgström the Don of the Swedish Mafia. He was older than all the men seated but younger than Marian and Garreth of course.

"The most fearless animal in the world. I'll take it." I blinked at how well he took it. Most people would not appreciate being compared to a honey badger. "To answer your earlier question, work has been...aggravating." Dante's cufflinks glinted in the light from a passing streetlamp. Silver, elegant, stamped with the letter "The deal l'm working on is a pain in the ass, but I'm flying to California on Tuesday to hopefully close it." "The Santeri deal?" l'd read about it in the news.

Maybe I should delete it then I'd tell Avani this was insane and I wasn't doing it. Should— My phone rang, it was sienna. "Hey," I answered. "Diego. Listen. I need to tell you something about Felton D'Angelo." "What about him?" "Be careful. He's not—he's not what he seems." "What does that mean?" "It means he's dangerous. It means people who get close to him tend to disappear. It means—" She stopped. "Just be careful. Okay?" "Sienna, what are you talking about?"

A Dangerous Contract with the Mafia Boss

we both heard suddenly. The man looked at us with a mocking smile, and Nikolay crossed his arms, provoking genuine laughter from the man, who extended his hand to introduce himself: "I'm Fernando Garza, a pleasure to meet you, beautiful," his seductive voice curiously didn't provoke anything in me. "Margaret..." "Aren't you leaving already, Fernando?" Nikolay retorted irritably. "Yes, but I think I'll stay to enjoy your whore..." "Excuse me, Mr. Garza, but I'm nobody's whore," I interjected sharply, completely annoyed.
