I steadied my breath, though my thoughts refused to stay still, as if his words had unsettled every quiet corner of me at once. I leaned forward, resting my forehead against his shoulder, letting myself settle into the steady warmth of him. His hand moved in slow, absent-minded circles against my thigh—an instinctive comfort rather than a performance of affection. Derrick had never been the overly expressive type, never one for grand gestures or lingering words.

At exactly noon, Claire stood at the altar as the emcee spoke into the microphone, recounting the love story between her and Nathan. Many of the guests below were visibly moved. Claire smiled. Then suddenly, the smile froze on her face. She swept her gaze across the audience. Only then did she realize that not a single one of Nathan's friends or relatives was there. What was going on? Before she could think any further, the emcee's excited voice rang out. "And now, let's welcome our handsome groom, Nathan Brooks!" Thunderous applause erupted throughout the hall, but after five full minutes, no one appeared. The guests exchanged bewildered looks.

I said I don't believe in these magic and werewolves billsh*t. I would have believed him if he said they are brothers as all three are super hot but I don't believe that they are werewolf, vampires. He signed and said, "Okay I was joking. Axel and Oliver are my friends but which Axel are you talking about?"

But near the gates, David was there—pacing, cigarette in one hand, a melting ice cream in the other. He looked almost nervous. When he saw us, he smiled awkwardly. “You’d better eat this before it melts.” He patted Joseph’s head, like that single gesture could erase everything. Joseph hesitated, then took it politely. The corners of his lips twitched up, but his eyes stayed empty. David turned to me. “Vivian… Lucas wants to join the junior hunting competition, but he needs a qualifying score. Joseph already won first place—he’s not entering the next round, right? Maybe we can let Lucas take his spot.”

“Yes! Once I find her, I’ll get a divorce immediately! Rachel, are you ready to become my bride?” Rachel shyly hid her face in Mark’s arms and whispered, “I’ve been ready for it a long time.” Jacob clicked his tongue and did not want to take part in this fiasco anymore. For the sake of keeping his job, the butler had to keep looking around the attic with Mark in hopes of finding clues to my escape. I found the entire situation ridiculous and funny. My corpse was right in front of him. What else was he trying to find?! Naturally, they found nothing in the attic, but they threw my firstborn into the trashcan like an unwanted toy.

Meanwhile, Dama just laughed. Dama tried to cheer his brother up. Russel looked very upset at the moment. Everyone knew, including Gerard. So the man finally made entertainment. They all cheered Gerard who almost vomited swallowing that big heart. "Damn it!" cursed Gerard, making everyone laugh at his struggle. "If I were you, I'd rather drink three bottles of beer," Russel joked, finally amused by his cousin's behavior. But Gerard finally managed to eat all the heart without any leftovers. Everyone cheered for him.

But I tried to stop it. “Thursday?” Gerard asked. “Thursday is fine.” My voice cracked, and I massaged my throat. “Good then, we’ll see three days from now.” Gerard rose, his eyes softening. “I’ll be leaving now.” Yet, he lingered there for a second, the space between us feeling too delicate for my liking. We both stood, glasses now empty, conversation had come to an end. Yet none of us moved. Then, quietly, he said, “Call me if anything happens, and don’t forget to take the test.”

On the way to our wedding, my fiancé got a hysterical call from his ex-wife. "Gavin, he's having another episode. He keeps crying for his daddy." This was the third time it happened. Each time we were about to get married, her son would have another psychosomatic episode. Gavin Grant looked at me hesitantly. I knew what he was thinking, so I nodded. "I'll get out. Go ahead." He clasped my hand gratefully. "I'm sorry, Vivian. I'll make it up to you." Before I could even steady myself, he was already telling the driver to turn around. Still in my wedding dress, I stood by the side of the road and hailed a cab. Then, my phone buzzed with a message from Gavin—he'd given me $100 million.

"I don't like speaking bullshit . So , I will be straight" I said while looking in front of me at the table but I can feel all their eyes on me . "You helped me that day and I am grateful for your hospitality. I am glad and I would like to repay you . So ,tell me how can I do that " I said with straight and firm voice that speaks business. I looked at him and he was looking at me amused and his three friends were trying to contain their laugher. I banged my fist on the table and they all pulled out their guns and pointed it at me .

She continued claiming our mate, which I know is false. “Oh. My. GODDESS!” I break from Bree long enough to look at Esme. She has stars in her eyes. “It’s one of the Brown triplets! He’s so fucking fine!” The music is playing, and women are screaming around me. I can’t turn and look because I’m still confused about this scent and Bree.
