I’d rather lose the arm!’ thundered the usually gallant Alpha. ‘You’ll be the darkness’ next target when you do—you know that!’ cried his wife, her face flushed with worry and hurt, trying to grab the remaining hand that was searching for more things to throw at me. ‘PLEASE LISTEN TO REASON!’
