“I’m sorry, Liam. I don’t know how to sense them because I’ve never seen a ghoul before.” “Damn it,” Liam mutters under his breath, tightening his grip on my shoulder. “We need to get out of here. Fast.” Before I can even process what Liam is saying, the ghouls appear out of nowhere. Their ghostly figures seem to appear and disappear almost like a mirage, and their shrieking fills the air. Fear takes over me, especially when I hear a voice inside of my head say, ‘Purple-eyed wolf. I want to feast on your blood and take your powers!’

He didn't even acknowledge me, but urged me again, further this time. I stepped through the parents and saw it was Bella. Damn. "How long has she been dead?" I asked. "That's the thing. She's not dead." Thanatos replied. "What do you mean?" I asked. Thanatos explained, "Gamora has taken a liking to her and smiled when she saw her soul. She was wandering about through the planes and realms unconsciously; she probably doesn't even know such things exist. I tried to reap her soul while we were in the same plane as her, but I failed terribly. She vanished right before my eyes and I couldn't even find her. The only thing I could track was her physical body."

My name is Elora and I reside at the Blue Mountain Packhouse. I have a slim figure, long curly blonde hair which I usually wear up in a bun so it is out of my face. Countless black streams of malevolent energy hung down, and the ground below those streams caved in. Under Horra's deft control, countless ghosts wearing black armor marched out of the Thousand-Soul Flag. There were regular ghosts, ghosts of generals, and skeletons. Those entities possessed an incredibly strong negative energy that made them as strong as a level nine supreme paragon. The aura they had was far stronger than that of Tomos and Sachin. After Horra summoned his minions from the flag, he waved his hands and commanded, "After him!" The apparitions roared in delight at the delicious feast of practitioners and rushed manically toward Severin.

"You're the Alpha. She's just a ghost who hasn't accepted her burial." I nodded, let her guide me down the corridor. But my gaze kept drifting back to the empty space where Lumira had stood, where she had caught a dagger mid-air and returned it without looking, where she had dismissed me like a servant dismissed from a room. A revenant. Yes. That was easier. But revenants didn't command moon-dragons. Ghosts didn't make the mate bond scream with recognition. Ghosts didn't look at you with the absolute certainty that you were already dead to them, and they were simply waiting for you to realize it.

She wanted to wake him up and see those grey eyes look at her with that confusing gaze of suspicion and heat. But then, she remembered who she was. She was the Ghost. She had a bounty on her head in three territories. The Rakan Guild owned her blood debt. If she stayed... they would find her. And they would kill him just for standing next to her. “I can’t,” she whispered, her voice cracking in the silence. She pulled away. Kornel grunted.
