Leah gestured toward a large mural on the far wall. “This depicts the legend of the Lost Fleet—a group of five ships that vanished off Brentwood’s coast nearly two hundred years ago during a storm. Some believe they sank; others think they were pulled into deeper waters by the currents. It’s said that on quiet nights, you can still hear their bells under the waves.”
A chill ran through me, though her tone remained light and touristic. Milo leaned toward me and murmured, “That’s the kind of story Sai would stay up Googling all night.”
