"Don Sullivan," Rosalina called entering my room. "Get her ready and meet me downstairs," I commanded still arranging some of the books on the shelves and I heard Rosalina walk away. After I finished organizing the books, I left the room and ascended the stairs to the living room. I sat down to wait for Micah and Rosalina. Rosalina has been working as an undercover guard to protect my family from any threats whenever I'm absent. I glanced at the staircase as Micah walked down with Rosa, dressed in a satin full-length gown, her hair packed into a ponytail leaving some blunt bang on her forehead.

But instead of heeding my warning, she surprised us all with an unexpected display of strength. With a trembling voice, Rosaline rose from her seat, her eyes filled with fierce determination. "No," she exclaimed, her voice quivering with defiance. "I won't allow you or anyone else to dictate my actions or threaten my life. I am not a puppet to be controlled. I will fight for my freedom, even if it means facing death itself."

I screamed, but she wasn’t listening to me. Her eyes remained on Vladimir, “Go ahead and try to manipulate me, my love is more powerful than your power!” Vladimir laughed at what she said, “You are not living inside of a novel, Rosita, this will be your end,” Dark energy started to form on his hands as they flew toward Rosita, she closed her eyes the moment it impacted her eyes and was standing still as if she was under some spell. “R-Rosita!” I screamed while forcing myself to stand up, but I knew that it was too late because she looked like she was ready to serve Vlad any moment now.

In my defense, the picture was fan-fucking-tastic. The way her breasts stretched the fabric of her white blouse... Fuck, it was incredibly sexy. Her red hair, blue eyes, smooth skin—every damn little mole and detail on her face is stunningly beautiful. Gina is a gorgeous creature. Long legs and plump lips. But the thing that was my undoing was thinking about her saying my name over and over. Damn. I so badly need to fuck that woman. "Mr. Maxwell?" I look up from my chair, frowning once I see it's my new assistant, Rosalita. She is a huge football fan, and her current mission seems to be trying to get me back on the field.

She looked youthful, her vibrant bleached-blond hair falling in waves around her shoulders, floral gown, designer heels, and a slightly stained kitchen apron tied around her waist. "Oh my." the woman breathed, halting a few feet in front of them as her eyes locked onto Elara. She stood frozen for a second, Then, she began to slowly circle them. Elara stood tense, her eyes darting nervously as she watched the woman drift around them. "Mother.." Killian warned. "You are making her uncomfortable." Rosaline snapped out of her trance, stopping right in front of them again. A warm smile lit up her face. "She is even more breathtaking in person!" she squealed happily.

A looked crossed his eyes,but it went away as quickly as it came, and soon he was looking at me amused again. "Of course, I didn't anticipate finding raunchy books in a sweet girl's bag, you're definitely right. Noted, I'm never doing that again." I scowled and he smirked. "So Rosie?" He asked, I couldn't help it, I rolled my eyes at that, rubbing at my temples. "No, my name's Rosette, not Rosie. That's childish." "Okay, so Rose. Well that's a pretty name for a very pretty girl, as cliché as it sounds, it's the truth, you're a pretty little flower." And the blush that was barely receding was back again.

A hefty tip. The woman's eyes widened slightly, but she took it and uttered a low thanks before going back to do her job. "Yes," I murmured, still getting used to being associated with a name I knew almost nothing about except for the power and protection that came with it. "Nikolai," he held out a hand. "It is nice to meet you, Black Rose." I took his hand, not wanting to be rude. His palms were soft, dry, and the warmth of it caught me off guard. He held me longer than necessary before letting go.

Perhaps he had not loved me for a long time now. It was my fault for never noticing—for stupidly believing that true love would never die. Now, Lara smiled as she leaned against the doorway, purring so softly her voice could melt anything, "I heard you made pasta. Can I have a bowl? With minced ginger, please. My cravings are really terrible these days." "You've got it," John grinned lovingly. "Who would spoil my baby if not me?" Still, he soon paused when he inadvertently noticed the black roses outside. "I'll tell the gardener to uproot those flowers. They remind me of Claire's disgusting face—I don't want them to hurt our eyes!"

I swallowed my tears, forcing myself to look away from the crimson imprint that now stained Amanda's neck. "Well, Ella, you've seen it for yourself," Amanda said with a mocking smile. "Kelvin marked me just now, and this mark symbolizes his love for me. Only a Luna deserves such a mark. Our bond grows stronger by the day—only the Moon Goddess herself could break it." Then she let out a loud, scornful laugh that echoed in the air. Kelvin stepped forward and added coldly, "Don't bother me with meaningless things anymore. As for the moonstone ring—give it to Amanda. Only the Luna of the pack has the right to wear it."

Rosalina smiled wider and giggled a little. “He said you’re all he needs.” Joni and Rebecca’s eyes widen as they look at each other. “That is so cute. Look at you getting big bad mafia man to whisper sweet nothings into your ear,” Joni threw her head back and laughed loud. Rebecca shook her head at bother friends when Rosalina joined her in her laughter. “Go. Get. Dressed.” Rosalina said as she tried to gasp for air. Rebecca headed up the stairs to get dressed. No matter how much she wanted to there was no point in fighting them on going shopping.
