I flinched, but then realized who this cynical-eyed woman was. "We were just taking a stroll. Wait, could you be Mrs. Gillian–the head-maid?"
"Pardon, have we met before, Miss?" Mrs. Gillian turned around and ignored my question. Her eyes narrowed, regarding me with a hint of suspicion.
"Perhaps you've forgotten. I'm Peony Crimson, Mrs. Gillian. I once helped you make raspberry jam and grow carrots and potatoes in the greenhouse." I explained.
