I sat there, staring at nothing in particular with my thoughts still tangled from everything that had happened. “We go back,” I replied and kept my eyes on her. “Go back to where?” She asked. “Our hometown,” I replied immediately. I felt the words land softly—but knew they wouldn't sit right with her. Luciana frowned slightly. “Back there?” she asked. “After everything?” I nodded. “That’s where it started. If there’s anything we missed… it’ll be there.” She hesitated. “It’s not that simple.” “No,” I agreed. “It’s not.”

I repeated. “Yes.” Roman’s voice was steady. “Not for work. Not for a quick trip. I want us to go back properly. Just you and me. I want to walk the same paths. Sit at the same bar. Watch the sunset from the same places. I want to go back to where we started.” My chest felt tight in the best way. “Why now?” I asked quietly. He gave a small smile. “Because we’re ready. We’ve been through enough. We’ve fought. We’ve hurt. We’ve healed. Now I want to take you back to the beginning and rewrite the ending. This time we don’t leave each other. This time we stay.”
