We seem to be in the burnt-out shell of a house; someone has lit a small campfire, and I can smell what I think might be old tins of beans cooking slowly. “What happened?” I ask Gideon softly as I reach under the t-shirts to grab his hand with mine; as I do, I feel something lumpy and thick against my skin. I slowly lift the shirt to see Gideon is half-covering a long scar right above my pubic bone; it's raised, bright pink and quiet, possibly the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.

It stretched from his wrist to above his elbow. Not only that but there are also scary scars that overlap each other. They were all his past, his training on Skull Island since he was eight years old. And every time bullets hit him in the back and leave scars on his body, they're always there and don't go away. Although Dr. Vittorio said, he could help Ivan heal these scars. But Ivan always refuses. These are all witnesses to his life, representing the hard times he has gone through.

The muscles of his back rippled along the lines of the tight T-shirt he wore as he moved his arms right and left, front and back, stretching. His brow furrowed, and he reached up suddenly, wincing as his hand grazed his side. “You’re hurt.” “It’s nothing.” “Gideon.” Gideon didn’t argue again, just sighed and walked toward the armchair by the fire, unbuckling the leather bracers at his arms, then the strap across his chest. I turned slightly, facing the window so Gideon had privacy—but my eyes flicked back. And promptly forgot how to breathe. His tunic was half-peeled off, soaked through with sweat and clinging to the lines of his back. Muscles, yes, of course—but what stunned me more was the damage. Scars.

I couldn't even blink when I looked at him. "Hey! I asked you a question. Can you heal me now?" I realized and blinked rapidly, like a fool I couldn't answer and instead stammered. "Y—yes. I—I can." "Thank goodness." He let out a sigh of relief. He then took off his clothes and by the Moon Goddess, his body was very good. Although, there were many scars, but it did not cover the beauty of his muscular body. Then, my gaze was drawn to the gaping wound on his right chest. There were three scratches there and they were quite deep.

"I know." My brain stutters. "H-how?" He shrugs it off, but there's something evasive in his gaze, like he's holding back. "Doesn't matter." He sheds his clothes quickly now, revealing a powerful masculine body that makes me even more aroused. A faint scar runs down his side, resembling claw marks. Weird. But I'm too distracted by the rest of him. He's fucking huge, piercings glinting on his massive rod of destruction. I know I'm about to get destroyed.

This man almost doubled his muscle mass. His dark brown hair had subtle streaks of red throughout. His eyes were green with hints of gold. They were the most amazing things I had ever seen. Looking at him made my heart pound. His eyes were focused on mine as he held my gaze. The scar on the left side of his neck was faded, the sight of it enraged me. I didn’t know why I was so upset about him being hurt. I felt myself begin to get lost in his eyes when my mind snapped me out of it.

Marcus picks up his phone, “Hey Gideon, I’m going to take this. “Pointing to his phone. I nod, and Marcus goes outside to take his fake call. As soon as Marcus is outside, our friend in the dark blue hoodie pulls his hood down more and turns and walks down the street. As he was pulling his hoodie down, I saw a jagged scar on the back of his hand, very distinctive. “Marcus, did you see his right hand?” I mind-link him, still not trying to draw attention to ourselves. “Yeah, I saw it. That must have hurt like hell.” He walks back inside. We sit back down and wait for our pizza. “Do you catch his sent when you went outside?” still using mind-link.
