That morning, Senator Gordon Crawford slammed the dining table in a blazing rage and shouted at his only son, Henry. "Henry, how can you be called to court today?! It could ruin your image as the next potential senator. We don't need the commotion of negative publicity right now," Gordon said impatiently and angrily. It was a woman in her early forties that looked a lot like Lady Audrey. “Good morning, sorry to keep you waiting,” she said to me with a quick smile. “I’m Ann Lori Anderson, Mrs. Anderson’s daughter. Henry stood beside it, dressed sharply, a faint smile already forming as I approached. “Good morning, Ms Katherine,” he greeted, voice warm and unhurried. His tone, always composed, almost teasing, made it too easy to smile back. Gordon emerged from the doorway behind me. Our eyes met briefly, his sharp, my amused, before he turned away, climbing into his own car. The engine roared as he sped down the drive, his frustration trailing behind him like exhaust fumes. Henry reached for my bag before I could stop him. “Allow me.”

Chloe turned and made an expression like she’d forgotten something. “Oh, my manners are horrible. Please forgive me. Timothy, this is Henry Dockett.
