A pull like a magnet, weak but just about perceptible. Caitlin opened her eyes and followed the pull as it led her to a shelf of dusty books. Her eyes skimmed across the spines, unable to read any of the languages. But then she saw one book in English and knew, deep inside of her, that she had found what she had been sent here for. She pulled the book down and a cloud of dust flew into the air. The book had clearly not been touched for centuries. She had to be careful with it in case the pages shattered on contact with her skin.

And it was packed. Books. Hundreds of them. Maybe thousands. Stacked on shelves that covered every wall. Piled on tables. "Not just any library." I picked up the nearest book. The cover was leather, worn smooth with age. The title was in a language I didn't recognize but somehow I could still read it. "These are about magic. Old magic. The kind that's been lost for centuries."

“They don’t like it when I say I’ve already been there.” “Hard to go somewhere you don’t believe in.” He mused. “True statement.” She agreed. “I pulled a few books for you. Don’t feel like you have to all of them. Or even any of them.” “I appreciate this. I’m not sure what to think about all of this.” “The woman? The feelings you have? Or the gifts she has?” Giving her a wry smile, he asked, “Do I have to pick just one?” “Absolutely not.” Ciara shuffled the books and pulled one out, handing it over. “This one is about ghosts. I also pulled a few about white covens.”

As Steve led Celess deeper into the darkness, her heart was pounding with anticipation. She had no idea where he was taking her or what he was planning, but she couldn't bring herself to turn back. She was entranced by the vampire's alluring embrace, drawn to him in a way that she couldn't explain. They soon arrived at an old, abandoned mansion that looked like it had been forgotten for centuries. Steve pushed open the rusty gate, and they walked up the overgrown path to the front door.

It had both a name and an author's name. At least it appeared better than the others. He made his way out and closed the door after picking up the book. The wind emerged absent all of a sudden. The cold shivers that steered through his spine each night after locking the bookstore were also mislaid. Roman felt a twinge in his upper arm as he sauntered further into a cemetery. He could hear downward incantations, muffled whines, and snarling insects. The torchlight squeezed around his fingers shone steadily across the footpath.

When she looked up, she didn't find any empty place where the book could be kept. She walked closer and squatted by the book. The book was unique. It was black, heavy, and had a gothic look. There was a pattern on the book cover and when Bella touched the book felt old and well-built. Bella picked up the book and brought it to the nearest table because the book was heavy to carry further. The tables nearby were empty, so she chose this spot, wanting to read the book before it caught sight of anyone else. She sat down and opened it. Instantly, she coughed as the dust entered her nose.

' Rinny was in good humour again and falling easily into our banter. 'Yes, all delivered, nice and cosy. And they're not stinky witch books, it’s just you’re allergic to anything wholesome. They're powerful grimoires with more magick in one little word than your entire body. I'd be careful about insulting them, they can hear, and they don't like it.' It was almost frightening how well the painter had captured the grace and beauty of these animals while at
