The walls being light colored didn’t surprise me more than the mountains upon mountains of books he has sitting on bookshelves surrounding the room. I walk around the room running my hands over all the different titles and authors. Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, H.G Wells, and so much more. Wuthering Heights, a first edition version sat in a case in between the shelves by a set of double doors to what looks like a balcony. It stuck out to me more than any of the other titles because it surprises me more than anything that he would read a book such as that. I try to picture in my head him sitting in a chair with glasses, all relaxed and snuggled up reading a classical romance novel

When the hands chased them, this book had slid from the high shelf and fallen right in front of Siron's feet, as if pointing to itself.

But I couldn’t shake the image of her under the Hunter’s Moon, of the way something about her had changed since that night. The library itself was quiet, the air heavy with the smell of old parchment and ink. The main shelves were all in order and pristine, but I ignored them, heading instead for the back alcoves where the forbidden shelves stood behind a simple glamour most students never looked past. A brush of magic from my hand sent it scattering away, the crackle of its return hanging in the air. The forbidden books were in plain sight, their cracked leather bindings and darkened spines far more enticing than the rest of the collection. Books that were too dangerous to be read casually,

I stood beside her, captivated by her unwavering resolve, feeling the tendrils of curiosity tightening their grip on my own consciousness. I go the opposite way, painstakingly reading each and every title. “Callie!” Alice exclaims excitedly. “I think I found something.” I hurry over, seeing her pull a smaller black book off the shelf. There’s no title on this book, only a gold Baphomet overlaid on the leather. “The Book of the Beast,” I whisper, eyes lighting up. “I think you did find something.” She cracks the spine and I lean over, heart racing. And then the library doors open and close with a boom, echoing throughout the entire room. Alice and I both jump, and she quickly shoves the book into her cloak.

I am aware that he is like looking at my face for a long time and is keep on glancing at me. “Ahmmnn a book entitled Wuthering Heights by Emily Bonte, Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens, and hemmnn Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.” I said as I look into the books there. “I see, those are rare books now since they are old and people nowadays don’t like sad and pure narration stories.” Henry said and I just nod. Henry is now helping me through the pile of books. It was almost 30 minutes yet we haven’t found one of the 3 books.

I was almost skipping around the store on my toes, my veins pumping with adrenaline and an unnerving excitement that made me so restless as I looked through the books. The minute I reached got to the next Aisle and reached for the Red Kingdom series; The Rise Of The Red Kingdom, The Fall of the Red Kingdom, and Fire and Ice, I felt it again. And this time, it was more intense. It felt like someone was drilling holes into my back with their eyes, causing goosebumps to sprout on my skin. My muscles locked and my hand was almost giving away the pile of books in my hands.

* The locks opened with a deep, clicking sound. The library was a cavern of ancient dust and suffocating silence. Row after row of black-bound books stretched toward a ceiling lost in gloom. I didn't waste time. I headed for the pedestal at the very back, where a tome bound in silver-veined leather sat. The Tome of Ancient Blood. My fingers shook as I turned the heavy, leather-bound pages. This wasn’t just a history; it was Elias’s dark design. His map of our suffering. I scanned the script, my eyes racing past sketches of broken bonds and twisted souls until I finally found it.
