Chapter 106 – Graduation Party The Return The morning air still shimmered with the softness of the night before—cap and gown carefully folded on her desk, mascara-streaked photos from the ceremony pinned to I*******m, and a quiet, stubborn ache in Harper Lane’s chest that hadn’t gone away, no matter how proud she was. Graduation. She'd done it. She walked the stage. Smiled for the cameras. Felt the clap of her dad’s hand on her back. Heard the principal mispronounce her name like it was some kind of tradition. It had all happened. All of it. And yet, it hadn’t landed. Because there was one pair of eyes she couldn’t forget searching for in the crowd.

I was now going to take my magic test and, finally, see if I could get my magical license. If Harry Potter could do it then so could I! So, I took a breath and prepared to jump into the magic trial. First, it was a paper test, which was never fun. Then you had to show you knew the spells you had been practicing. Finally, a potions test. I truly feel like I had stepped into Hogwarts or something. My jaw slacked and my eyes grew wide as I saw the smiling faces of not only my friends and family, but my entire graduating class, along with their families, and all our professors and Dean Rivers.

“How do you even come up with these things?” Harry grinned proudly, leaning back in his chair. “It’s a gift, really. I consider myself a prank prodigy.” “Prodigy or not, you’re going to get expelled one of these days,” Lucas said, his voice light but laced with warning. “And I'm not going to help you this time if anything happened.” “This time?!” I questioned and Harry snorted, shrugging his shoulders. Next, he waved Lucas off. “Nah, they love me. Besides, someone’s got to keep things interesting.”

But due to the appearance of the lady boss, I had thought Draco was changing, but it seems he was still the feared devil in the underworld. I could already hear the heart wrenching screams as soon as we got out of the elevator and entered the corridor, making our way to the room at the end of the hallway. The pungent smell of blood and sweat and rotten body parts due to wounds on some of the prisoners that were left untreated filled our nostrils, but Draco seemed unfazed as he took calculated and controlled steps towards the door. Draco made his way to the huge chair that was reserved for him anytime he came around to watch and sat down like a king. Only that he looked like the king of hell.

This was the perfect start to my graduation day. --- We arrived at the graduation ceremony venue, beaming with pride. Xavier, Hayden, Harper, and Elizabeth wore matching "Sarah's Family" buttons. This family was one heck of an entertainment. As we found our seats, the girls chattered excitedly. "Sarah, you're going to walk across that stage and get your diploma!" Hayden exclaimed with dreamy eyes. "I can't wait to finish college." Harper face-palmed herself and tapped Hayden as if bringing back her sense. "Hey, Hayden, you just got into High School, remember? You sounded as if you just started college."

They only used to hang out with him, so he pays for expensive alcohol bottles. The graduation ceremony starts, and their seniors walk on stage. Harvey's heart jumps when Eden appears among them. He looks dashing in his dark blue gown and his black hat. The director gives each student their certificate and allows them a few minutes to make a speech. They also take a picture with all their teachers and leave the stage with a rose bouquet. "It's papa's turn!" exclaims Leo, excited to finally see his dad in front of him. Eden walks confidently and greets the director. Everyone claps for him when he takes the certificate in hand.

It is hard to chew it as I try my best to smile innocently at Sky who sighs and pokes my full cheeks, commenting that I look like a chipmunk. “Option one from about two hundred and fifty years ago, the Harry Potter Series.” Lia chimes in, motioning the pile of seven movie sitting on the edge of the coffee table. I laugh, watching as Lia begins to take the first movie – Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. I movie full of magic and a revolution at the end. Seems fitting to what I am dealing with right now. “What the other option?” Sky asks, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pressing a kiss on my forehead.
