Fated Tragedy
She turned, shoulders shaking, ready to storm out—
And froze.
Her entire body went rigid, and when I turned to look toward the entrance of the hall, I understood why.
An older man around my grandmothers age, stood there, his presence commanding, ethereal. A dedicated priest of the Moon Goddess, cloaked in the same colors of the moon phases, the faint shimmer of ancient power surrounding him.
There were only a handful of priests left from the Ancestral Howls Pack. And from the look on my grandmother’s face, it was as if she had seen a ghost.
