The once-bustling house was reduced to silence, with only Edwin left behind.
Everyone now saw the man, who had once been so full of pride and ambition, as a lunatic. During the day, he sank into a silent depression, staring blankly at the wedding photo in his hands.
In that picture, I was still smiling, holding hope for the life ahead.
