A little sleep and maybe some food.” I nodded, “Good to know.” I turned to Matt Wallber and the woman beside him before offering my hand to him. “I’m Greyson Black, Gordon’s bodyguard, and occasional errand runner.” Gordon cackled, “I’d never call you an errand runner… Part-time chef is better.”

They were dressed in black, with hoods up, and baggy sweatpants. “Elias?” Still squinting, he tilted his head and a few seconds later, his face dropped. “Oh shit. That’s Jackson Mayor.” “Who?” “Alicia Mayor’s boyfriend. He’s like twenty-three.” “Alicia Mayors. The one that’s hated you since middle school?” “Yeh, that one. And I called her a bitch the other day.” I glanced back to the guy. His eyebrows were tensed, and his jaw stiff, his eyes squarely set on Elias.

He makes me feel a lot of things that I hate feeling. I walk towards his room as I take a deep breathe to look a little confident and sexy. But as soon as I step in, all the air in my lungs is knocked out, Jake Carson was shirtless, beating the punching bag so hard that I felt like it was going to tear into half. Holy fuck. Why God?

Him looking relaxed, more confident now that she is here. Growing up, I’ve always wanted something similar to what they had. I didn’t think it would be possible. Grayson pulled my hand and we quickly left Jack Gilmore’s house. -- Once again Grayson was quiet in the car, but this time he had tears in his eyes and was muttering to himself. I reached over and touched his thigh and it was like he didn’t even feel my hand. His eyes remained on the road. Lee was in the living room when we got home. “How did it go?” He asked. “It was great,” Grayson laughed bitterly. “He completely rejected me. Told me he didn’t want or need me cuz he already has a son.”

It felt as if all of the air had been sucked out of the room. I’d never seen him before, but I didn’t need an introduction. I knew who he was. From the light scar at the corner of his brow and the green of his eyes, I knew instantly who he was. The man that had just entered the Meeting Hall was Ethan of the Crimson pack. His broad shoulders, muscular chest, brown tousled hair and piercing green eyes made it clear. My future King had arrived. Seeing him, I knew why we were called to the Meeting Hall. We were here to welcome Alpha Ethan.

Grayson got off the plane and went straight back to the Villa. Mr. Harlan looked at Grayson's face and could see how lovely he looked. His cold front expressed the relief of now being relaxed. It almost seemed like he was in a good mood. "Where's Sienna?" Grayson's eyes swept through the house. Thinking she was still sleeping, he walked up the stairs. "Master, Miss Sienna had an audition today and left early this morning." Grayson stopped, and he remembered what she had told him, but he couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. He wanted so much to see her.

Grayson lounged back against the arm of the sofa, his phone balanced in one hand as he scrolled absentmindedly. He wasn’t really paying attention at first, just flicking through one video after another—until something caught his eye. A video with a familiar name written boldly on the screen. He stilled. The video replayed automatically, the voice of a young woman spilling through the speakers—bright, animated, and far too excited for the kind of story she was telling.
