(Jason Lee) “...Virtue Financial cards…yes…but Mine…no…You both were the 14th and 15th person that got that business card…here on the island…or even at any Virtue Financial..showing that will give you the access and high class treatment…remember that, also don’t lose the card okay...”.

The contents spilled out one by one: lip gloss, a compact mirror, perfume, my keys, and then Alaric's black card. It clinked softly against the glass surface, catching the light. The employee froze. Her eyes went wide. Then, slowly, she bent to pick it up. The second she saw the silver crest engraved at the corner, her hands started to tremble. “That’s…” she whispered, “That’s an exclusive card. The Black Eclipse card…” The Black Eclipse Card? What was that? Alaric's card had a name it was known by? Hold on… They wouldn't think… They won't think I stole the card, will they? If they do, then it's going to be another round of problems.

He set the deck down and ate the apple quickly. I picked up the cards and turned them over in my hands. Each card was different but there were four symbols scattered throughout the deck. “Okay so… I see a blue star, a black circle, a green weird looking square and then a red triangle?” I asked as I picked the cards out and set them down as he continued eating. “Mhm. The green one is called a diamond. What else do you notice?” He asked as he bit into the ham.

We are going to be passed out on the lawn by the end of the night except for Fox. I and Ransom are the first ones to have active cards but so do Angel and Shadow, meaning our cards match. Unfortunately for Ran and I, we have to drink longer seeing as how I have the 10 of spades and Ransom has the ten of clubs while Angel has the 3 of hearts and Shadow has the 3 of diamonds.

I glanced at Liam to ensure he was comfortable, and he nodded. Toralei explained the rules of the game: we would spin the bottle, and whoever it pointed to would pick a card from the box. The card would determine whether the person would be dared or asked a question. Toralei spun the bottle slowly, and my heart raced as I followed its movement. It eventually stopped, pointing directly at me. What terrible luck. "Alright, Jenna," Toralei said, passing me the box. I reache d inside and searched its contents before selecting a piece of paper.

The attendant quickly finished shuffling the cards and distributed them. Peter gazed icily at Kenneth as if he had locked him as his opponent. In an instant, the attendant had dealt out the cards. All six men picked up their cards. Meanwhile, the women sitting beside them leaned closer to look at the cards Kisa glanced at the cards in Marshall's hands and immediately felt her heart sink. 'His highest card is only an Ace! There are two decks of cards, so where did the four Kings and eight 2's go? Marshall's cards look like a phone number; looking at them gives me a headache,' thought Kisa.

It seems I also needed to get a chair because the real fun had just begun. Helene ran forward and yanked the card away from Jade’s hand. Her eyes flew wide too, and she dropped to the ground, her legs giving out completely as she stared at the card, unable to look away. Her face was ghostly pale, her lips trembling, her chest rising and falling in rapid, panicked breaths. Bloody hell! “She really bought the whole mall.” “It wasn’t a platinum, gold, or even the high-limit black card. Its- its the blood-stone red card. THE OBSIDIAN VELVET CARD. A card legend that only a handful of people on the planet possessed.

Diego followed close behind, his sharp eyes already scanning the perimeter. Miguel crouched, examining the box carefully before flipping open the lid. The scent of iron hit them first—blood. Inside, a single playing card lay in the center. The Queen of Hearts—its edges stained with crimson. Beneath it, scrawled in thick, jagged letters, was a message: “One by one, the game ends.” Isabella’s stomach twisted. “This isn’t just a warning,” she murmured. Luca’s jaw tightened as he reached inside and pulled out the card, his fingers barely brushing against the drying blood. “This is a declaration.”

he noted. ‎She said nothing. ‎Didn’t move. ‎Didn’t cry. ‎His lips curved faintly. ‎“Smart girl.” ‎For a brief moment, they simply looked at each other. ‎Then he reached into his pocket. ‎Pulled something out. ‎A card. ‎He flicked it lightly. ‎It landed at her feet. ‎Blackjack. ‎“Run,” he said casually. ‎And she did. ‎This time, she didn’t stop. ‎She ran into the darkness.
