Greed Island Cards Novels & Stories

Everyone could not help but surround me. The bank statement showed only 8,800 dollars in the transaction. The transaction record exposed Emerald and Amelia’s carefully crafted lies, like a sharp weapon cutting through deception. The room fell into silence. The guests’ previous disdainful looks toward me shifted to shock and suspicion as they turned to the mother-daughter pair. Their fervent discussion rose like a tide. “Oh, my god! The wedding gift is only worth 8,800 dollars instead of 880,000 dollars. Mrs. Jones, why did you tell us such a big lie?”

“Okay! Let’s get this started.” She spread the cards. “If you pick a card and it shows a diamond, that’s a dare. If you pick gold, it’s true.” Her grin widened. “But no matter what, if you fail, you drink an entire bottle of vodka. So, absolutely no backing out.” The group roared with enthusiasm. “Hope it’s interesting?” Isabella whispered to Ava. Ava nodded. “Just have fun, girlie. It’s harmless.” Isabella doubted that. Nothing felt harmless tonight.

Still, everyone was waiting to see how it would end. Renee looked at Chris and Adam. "Mr. Jackson, Mr. Graham, you guys show your cards first. Since we're playing blind, we'll reveal our hand last." "Fine, whatever you say." Chris tossed his cards on the table confidently and laughed. "Straight flush, with King as the highest. Bet none of you can top that!"

Darren protested, "No, why are you all fighting after me? Don't play like that." "Thirty thousand dollars, anyone else?" "Take one." Daron took the twelve thousand from Renea's hand. "That's a license to eat cards." Renea nodded in understanding. "When you eat a card, you can't take another card, just play one out." Before Daron finished speaking, Renea directly hit the only remaining single eight in her hand. Daron didn't even have time to stop, his heart tightening. Darren revealed a bad smile and said, "Renea, it's already like this and you still dare to play eight out?"

"Got one!" Rana yelled. She snatched a diamond card with a written '6' on it. "Here!" Megera shouted next as he pulled out a heart card with a written '3' on it. I found the next one, a spades with the number '0' on it. But the last one was nowhere to be found. We turned every single card over. "It's not here. They must've forgotten it!" Rana fearfully said.

Silence reigned between them as Adrian anticipated her response, but Jeri appeared like someone who was deaf and dumb. “You can't talk now, huh?” Adrian furrowed his brows and clenching his fist. Jeri didn't respond either. She eventually slid her two fingers into her pink purse that had a touch of gold at the edge and brought out a rare card. “Here, Mr. Adrian. I guess this is enough proof to back up my claim.” She placed a supreme card on the table, allowing Adrian to survey the card by himself. These supreme cards were rare cards that are owned by top, successful business people. In Tylian city, only two people had these types of cards, and Darian was not even among them, let alone Adrian

He saw me placed between kings, a queen born from nothing but their rivalry. Dino reached into his jacket, he handed me my phone, one I had forgotten I had, and then he pulled out a black card, slapped it against my palm. “Funding. Pin’s 1794. Don’t fuckin’ waste it.” Alessandro smirked, sliding his own card free, holding it out with practiced elegance. “Take mine as well. Use what you must. Build what you need.” I stared at the cards. At first, confusion tangled me. Was this another game, another leash? But then it shifted. Maybe it didn’t matter. Maybe I could use their games against them.

"Wow! That's gorgeous." The card in Grey's hand was a black card with the symbol of the Lilac commercial grounds and it has gems embeded on it. The Lilac grounds symbol was a gold flower. They look at the other side and there was another symbol but it was dragon symbol with ruby gemstone embedded into it. "What's this...for?" he asked as he brought out the larger box on top of the desk. "Woooah! There are four other cards and its all in black!" Phil said.

“Sloth, lust, greed, envy, blah blah blah. When did you get religious, Ace?” Taking a deep breath, I ignore my girlfriend and pull out a deck of cards. “Here’s the game.” I pull out seven cards from the deck. “I’ve written the name of the seven deadly sins on the face cards.” Holding them up I show them the cards, each one with a sin scrawled on the top in red sharpie. “I’ll shuffle them and place a card at each spot. No peeking. We all flip our cards at the same time.”

Just as the fully armed security guards surged forward, Frederick slowly pulled out the Black Dragon Card from his pocket. "Do you want to have a look at my card?" Bob looked at Frederick in confusion. How would a man dressed head to toe in cheap clothing have any kind of card? Wade laughed his head off when he saw the card in Frederick's hand. "The Sky Garden only has two kinds of cards: Gold and Platinum. Where did you get this cheap black card? Who are you trying to fool?" Bob had been prepared to ignore it, but he jumped in shock when he heard that it was a black card.
