Uncontrollable Flames

Uncontrollable Flames

Someone who was once a stranger was now one of my best friends. "Just because you've cried enough doesn't mean anything, you lost your brother Mai. That doesn't just go away or make it any less true. I know you're tired of crying, tired of feeling like this but it's okay to cry. Sebastian's gone, he's not coming back" Grandon said as he looked down at the flowers that were still in his hand and then back at me before mumbling "Trust me I know, I was the same way when Riley died." He put the flowers down against the tombstone and sat beside me.

The Midnight Club Murders

The Midnight Club Murders

Isa is just another nobody that doesn’t care if I die tomorrow. And those two corpses, oh how I miss them out of nothing. Why? Why am I grieving for you? Why do I care? Grief is like a ball in a mason jar filled with a single ping-pong ball. All this time, a fourth-dimensional hand keeps on shaking this jar, and every time the ball hits the glass walls of the jar it hurts. It fucking hurts so much. Why am I allowed to hurt?

THE CEO AND THE APPRENTICE

THE CEO AND THE APPRENTICE

POV: ELISABETH My body still throbbed with pain, echoing the overwhelming impact of what had happened. The relief of knowing Greg was alive, fighting to recover, barely dissipated the anguish consuming me. As I put on the black mourning clothes, my reflection in the mirror revealed a profound sadness, where the eyes of that little girl who had lost her parents so long ago resurfaced in my gaze. My only family, my entire world, and my best friend, mother, and confidante had left without me being there to comfort her in her most frightening moment. The guilt for not being by her side tore at my heart. The most important person in my life was taken from me, leaving an unbearable void, an overwh

One Roof with Five Hot Jerks

One Roof with Five Hot Jerks

Byron shouted and then put the fake cockroaches in the trash can. "Goodbye, my earphones." said Giles with teary eyes, and he then threw his ten earphones inside the trash can. He may love music so much that he has a collection of earphones and headphones. "Huwa! Goodbye, baby, pure." Sid wiped his tears away before tossing his pale ball into the trash can. That's only a ball, why did he cry? He can buy another one and sign it with his idol again, psh. Easy.

The Human

The Human

I held her for what felt like ages as she emptied her eyes on my shoulder. All I could think about was how we'll never see Caleb again. We'll never hear his jokes or be met with his radiant smiles. I'll never hear his manly scream again whenever he bumped into Twinkle. I'll never see his forced frown again when I steal out his bacon. Caleb was gone, and there's nothing we could do about it. Another hour passed and we all migrated to the waiting room. No one said anything, all you could hear was the whispers of staff, or the sniffles of one of us.

Sierra Is Alive

Sierra Is Alive

As the phone dropped off my hands and swayed in the air, the lump on my neck grew larger and larger as I started kicking feet on the floor. "STOP!!" I sobbed. "That's not true! That's not the case..." As I cried on the floor, my words were garbled. What could be worse than knowing that the single person who stayed by your side died and will never return? Then her body was dismembered, just as the story regarding Sierra's death had previously stated. It genuinely is... I'm back at square one, grieving for someone I cared about.

Marked by the Lycan Prince

Marked by the Lycan Prince

He was so young, so full of life, and now… gone. I press my cheek against his shirt and let myself dwell in the moment. It’s strange, surreal, the softness of his chest, the slow thrum of his pulse against my ear. It’s a rhythm I could listen to forever if I could. But the grief for Kelvin is always there, a shadow lurking at the edge of my consciousness, threatening to swallow me whole.

The Mourning of Love

The Mourning of Love

I giggled and sank into the tidal wave of his love. The night stretched long, and so would our happiness. Not long after, I became pregnant. When Caleb and I visited our new villa, we saw Thomas and Juliet tending flowers in the park. Their old clothes were streaked with dirt. Adrian was nearby, drunk in broad daylight, with a crying baby beside him. Under the scorching sun, their former pride had long since vanished. Seeing me, they hastily pulled on their masks and hurried away with Adrian. Their aging figures were the very picture of desolation.

I enjoyed each of the sweet stories. However, I am not sure how the characters of Gabe and Celina in story two became Brian and Leah in story three while all the other characters, including their daughter, kept the same names.

The story in the introduction is Chapters 1-24. Then it’s different stories with new characters (Ch 25-55; 56-84; 85-117). Love how the relationships developed between Alexa & Salvatore / Celina & Gabe / Sara & Ian / Camille & Noah. Love how God, prayer, and faith were emphasized in each story.
