When it exploded the silver nitrate burned holes into their skin forcing them to shift. John and Blake shot a wolfsbane bullet and a silver nitrate bullet killing them where they stood. Jamal took a knife and slit their throat. You could see the silver eating away at their flesh. "Damn, the Slasher Pack gunsmith is the truth. He weaponized some dangerous items," Jamal acknowledged. "You can say that again," John agreed. Burning the bodies and putting them in an unmarked grave, sprinkling lye on them to hide the odor. Going back through the woods the way we came, I spot Levi sitting on the hood of his car.

“You can protect yourself with it, or save someone with it, but either way, someone is dying,” I took a step forward as I watched him dissemble the gun. Slightly, I leaned against the table and slowly he began to assemble the parts one after the other until they merged into their whole form.

Disappointed, he glares at her as Alexander presses a gun to her head and asks Dolf for the detonator. The gun that Alexander holds against Jenny's temple is no ordinary weapon. I tucked my hands instead into my armpits as if that would make them disappear. “No! I’m not—please don’t shoot me! I don’t know what’s going—” BANG. I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing myself for the quick pain of a bullet before death. But it never came. Just whimpers and silence. And when I cracked my eyes open, I saw him. A stranger. A man with curly blond hair was standing between me and my stepfather. He was gripping the barrel of the gun—now bent ninety degrees upward, pointing directly at the bullet hole that had just been made in the ceiling.

Whiskey deserves as much. “There’s something I haven’t told you” Gunner piped up. I turned to look at him and frowned. I don’t think I can handle any more bad news at this point in time. “What?” I blanched. “To get her to come with me, back to the pack, I did something to her” he said hesitantly. “What did you do?” Smith asked with a snap in his tone. Gunner faced him and growled, swiftly shutting down any possibility of a challenge. Smith stepped back and dropped his head, conceding to Gunner.
