I coughed out softly handing her back her glasses but she smiled, stopping me from returning it, “You can keep it. I literally made so much money from your wedding which did not even take place. So the least you deserve is my glasses.” I typed in Gabriel's location into her GPS and sank back in my seat, looking outside as the sun was slowly setting. “I'm Melody by the way.” She introduced, after about fifteen minutes of driving in silence and I glanced at her for a second admiring how pretty she is with long brown hair and gorgeous facial features, resembling that of a model.

He paused, and nudged the gentleman wearing rimless glasses next to him. "Right, Gabriel?" Gabriel Gray pushed his glasses up and said, "She listens to you." Gabriel had met Melody a few times at Christopher's residence. Before he met her, he assumed her to be a materialistic gold digger obsessed with money. However, he changed his opinion of her after seeing her. Although Melody was supposedly from a poor family, she was as well-educated as any other wealthy young lady—unlike Talia. Talia was a wicked witch in disguise!

But Terrin is watching us with a smile. I was looking at Kylo, admiring his features, as I began to bellow my announcement from his lap. “So how does it feel to be back from the dead?” Giovanni asked as everyone gathered in the living room watching as Genesis wolfed down the food that Melody had prepared for him, “Genesis Aldous! Slow down or you’ll choke!” Melody scolded as she slapped him on the shoulder causing him a sheepish smile with his cheeks filled. Swallowing before looking up at Melody, who stood beside him with her arm around his shoulder, he grinned, “I’m sorry, Mel, I’m starving and your food is the best,” he said as everyone nodded in agreement while Melody smiled down at Genesis before kissing his forehead

Russo they were ready for him upstairs. Mr. Russo stood, using his cane to help him balance. “We’ll talk again,” he told Melody. “I like you, maybe we could talk about getting you started in New York. Your cookies are the best.” Then he left. Alone in the study, Melody wandered. Her fingers brushed the spines of books. Her mind replayed his words. He liked her, she couldn't help but smile. Mr. Russo wasn't so bad after all. And then she remembered him talking about their act and how it wasn't new especially when it comes to Logan. Does it mean she wasn't the only girl he's done this with?

He poured himself a glass of wine, a pale pink mix that smelled of berries. “What is that?” I had specifically asked for red wine, not that it went with fish, but it was necessary for Melody. “Oh, hush, it’s the brew I’ve been making; let me have my fun today and just try it!” Gaston poured my glass full, and then Melody’s. He almost filled the fourth glass, but I stopped him.

The wind howls, through the cement and boards, rain pours outside. “I’m going to make French toast and eggs!” Melody stammers with joy, then sips on her blueberry lavender iced latte. Gage chooses to brave the wind and rain, feeling confident Melody can manage from here. He braces the banister descending the cement steps, facing heavy winds and rain. Jet trots at his side as if racing to their own beach house.

Melody's tummy was full of fluttering butterflies after she said good bye to her daughter and Alexander and followed Delia to her car. Cyrus had a tag in Melody's bag to help him follow at a distance so Delia didn't get nervous. Melody hadn't really gone out with friends since before she moved to Maine and met Alexander, and since then all her socializing was with wolves at their own, private events.
