Alright, so the graphic novel adaptation of 'The Handmaid's Tale', the one illustrated by Renée Nault, it sticks pretty close to the core cast. You've obviously got Offred front and center, her internal monologue is everything. The Commander and Serena Joy are just as chilling in visual form, maybe more so because you can see Serena's icy stares. Of course, Moira and Ofglen are key—Moira's defiance jumps off the page. Nick's mysterious presence comes through in the art, too, all those shadowy panels.
I think the adaptation does a solid job of giving the Aunts, especially Aunt Lydia, a really unsettling visual authority. The way she's drawn, you feel that mix of piety and cruelty immediately. The Martha, Rita, gets a few quiet moments that land well. It's still Offred's story through and through, but seeing the other Handmaids, even briefly, hits differently when you can see the uniformity of their dresses and wings.
