The door opened quietly, and Dr. Patel, one of the specialists, stepped in. She gave me a warm smile, too warm for what I was feeling. “Anthony, good afternoon. I’ll be assisting with some of the tests today.”
I straightened, forcing a polite smile. “Good afternoon, doctor.”
She glanced at Dr. Morgan’s notes. “You mentioned increased blurriness, light sensitivity, and difficulty reading?” she asked.
“Yes,” I admitted, my voice quieter than I meant. “Some days it’s fine, but… it comes and goes. Like my eyes can’t decide what they want to do.”
