The hall with it’s altars to the gods was lit with torches and the change of the air sucked billows of incense towards him, bathing him in scented smoke.
“Oh, it’s beautiful,” Harry whispered as he trailed Thaelen through the statues towards the mother goddess. “What’s with the hair though?” He asked. The feet of all the statues were covered with hair, braids and locks of it like skeins of silk, and the hands, eyes and mouths had been bathed in blood, dried now into brown stains.
