“Here is your pregnancy result,” the doctor announced.

I felt my heart begin to race at the sight of the letter in the doctor’s hand. This was the moment I had been waiting for. This was the point that would determine whether I would give my beloved an heir or not.

Mason Moore was my husband and he was one of the top billionaires in Crystal city. He had recently been wanting an heir to inherit his great empire and I wanted to give it to him as a gift. This result was going to determine whether I had succeeded or not.

I took the letter from the doctor and hesitated to open it. I was currently in the old doctor’s small office and I was seated before him. A table was the only thing separating us.

“The results won’t read itself now, would it?” The doctor added as he studied my scattered emotions. I only smiled at him and turned back to the white envelope in my hands.

I fidgeted as my emotions were at its peak. I felt a mixture of nervousness and excitement as I held on to the letter. It was now or never.

I slowly began to tear it open. My heartbeat accelerated and I was almost becoming deaf due to the sound of them. My fingers trembled with excitement.

As I opened the test result, I skimmed through with my eyes until I found what I had been looking for.

“Yes! I’m pregnant! I’m going to become a mother!” I exclaimed as I stared at the boldly written ‘positive’.

“Congratulations Mrs Moore! You’re going to be a mother!” The doctor joined my enthusiasm. We shook hands and I got to my feet to leave.

“I have to inform my husband about the good news, I’ll see you later. Thank you once again,” I announced and raced out of the office.

I waited until I got to the elevator before dialing Mason’s number. It rang continuously but there was no answer. I tried again for the third time and the result was the same.

Then my eyes lighted up with an idea. I could just go home and show him the letter myself. That way, I would get to see his excitement.

So I stepped out of the hospital and stopped a taxi cab. “Take me to the Moore Mansion,” I instructed.

The cab driver nodded and drove off. It was not long before he reached the grand luxurious gates of the mansion. There was a bold MM insignia on the golden gates. He stopped before the gate and dropped me off.

I exhaled sharply and entered.

“Welcome back Mrs Moore,” the gate keeper greeted.

“Thank you, Gregory. Here’s a little tip because I’m happy!” I answered with joy and passed him a hundred dollar note.

His eyes lighted up with excitement as he took it and kept it away. “Thank you, Ma’am,” he added.

My smile remained wide. I was feeling very generous. At this rate, I could donate my entire salary to the orphanage!

I entered the house and thought of the best way to break the news to him. I popped a finger in the air when I got the perfect idea. I raced to the mini bar stand by the left end of the grand lounge. I brought out a big bottle of red wine and poured it into a clean glass. I took out a stick of roses from the vase beside me and planted it on the tray. Then I placed my pregnancy results on the tray along side the red wine and the flower.

There was one last thing to do, fix up my hair and face. I knew he would be in his room probably sleeping since today was a free day for him from work.

I raced to the bathroom behind the grand stairway and stopped by the mirror. My black hair fell freely down my shoulders. I took all my hair and let it fall on my left shoulder. I retrieved a red lip stick and applied it generously on my lips. My electric blue eyes seemed to pop out more. The only annoying thing on my face was the mole beside my nose but Mason had told me he loved me nevertheless.

I blew a kiss at the mirror and walked out. My dress looked just perfect. I came back to the bar and picked up the tray. My next destination was our room.

I climbed the stairs and I could not help but think about how happy Mason would be. Knowing him, he would want to spoil me even more by givng me whatever I wanted. He would probably stop looking at other women and pay attention to me. All my dreams about having him all to myself would be fulfilled.

I reached the top and started heading towards the last door down the corridor. I stopped on my track when I heard weird sounds.

“Ah! Damn baby you’re so good!” A man’s voice which sounded a lot like Mason’s reached my ears.

“Oh Fuck me harder baby! Show me no mercy! Keep fucking me!” A woman’s voice screamed.

I widened my eyes in shock, then I shrugged it away. Why was I over thinking it? Mason would never cheat on me like this. He was probably watching a movie that had a male lead who sounded like him. I knew he looked at other women but he had never cheated on me and he was not about to start now.

Maybe I could join him in watching the movie and after that, we could make mad love together. I blushed at the thought and continued to near the door. The sounds had gotten louder now.

“Fuck me harder baby! Don't stop! Damn! You're so good!” she screamed and heavy panting filled the room.

I giggled. I was sure Mason was going to be turned on and the moment he saw me, he would probably make love to me first.

I reached the door and pushed it open. I walked in and the moment I looked towards the bed; I froze.

“Mason you're so hot! Keep fucking me baby!” A woman moaned.

“Your butt is so soft and your inside is so sweet. I don't want to stop. I don't think I can!” Mason moaned.

The tray I carried fell and hit the ground hard. The glass cup shattered.

I forgot how to breathe. I forgot how to speak. My heart skipped beats as I saw Mason fucking Scarlett Johansson from behind.

They were both on the bed, naked. Scarlett was on all fours facing the door, Mason’s cork was inside of her from behind and I saw as Mason slammed himself into her. I saw the way her butt vibrated with every thrust.

The moment they noticed me, they stopped and Mason stared back at me in shock. The last thing he must have expected was that I would walk back into the house and catch him cheating on me.

He removed his big cork from her butt and got on his feet slowly as if I was a ticking time bomb that would explode.

“I— I can explain,” Mason began with a stutter.

My heart started racing and my eyes shot up at his words. Why did people who got caught cheating always say these same words?

I looked from Scarlett to Mason. I had thought Scarlett was Mason’s colleague from work. I had no idea that she had been waiting to snatch my husband. She did not look the least bit sorry as she sat up shamelessly on the bed and watched the show.

Mason was almost closing the distance between us. “Baby, I'm sorry. . .I don't know what got into me but I love you,” Mason continued and he reached out to touch me. This was enough to make me snap.

“Don't you fucking touch me! Don't come any closer! You're a fucking liar! A gold digger! You've been lying to me all this while! I've been living a lie! I can't stand this any longer! I can't bear to see your face!” I screamed and turned to leave.

Mason grabbed me and stopped me from leaving. “No! It isn't true! I truly care about you. You can't leave!” he yelled.

“Get your filthy hands off me!” I screamed. But the warmth his hands had to offer were getting to me and all I wanted was to be wrapped around his arms and cry my eyes out because even with this, I still loved him.

Mason’s eyes had moistened with fear. I could see the guilt in his eyes and I could tell he felt remorseful. I suddenly felt bad for seeing him in this condition and forgot I had just caught him cheating.

“Why did you do this to me, Mason?” I cried as my voice softened.

Mason held on to my hand and I saw his own tears escape his eyes. “I'm so sorry,” he cried. “I even got something for you, I hope you'll be able to forgive me. Please wait here,” he pleaded and walked out of the room.

I did not know why I let Mason’s pleading voice weaken my resolve. It was as if he had full control over me and once he said the word, I would come running. I felt like a fool for him.

I looked towards the bed and remembered that Scarlett was still here. Rage built up within me. The audacity she had of still been here. She should have left already. This was a dispute between couples.

“Bitch! Get the hell out of here! What are you still waiting for? Were you hoping that we would break up?” I yelled and made to attack her.

“Don’t you dare lay a finger on me! You're so stupid! You think he loves you? He's going to be cheating on you again in the next hour! You're not enough for him. You don't even know how to give him good sex!” Scarlett shot back.

I gasped at her words and grabbed her by the neck. I was prepared to strangle her to death. She did not try to fight me. Instead, I felt a sharp pang hit my neck and some sort of fluid entered my body.

I gasped.
