Phil still accepted his parent's gift and hugged them, tired from the party Phil excused himself and made his way to his room. Entering his room, Phil found it strange since his bedroom window was wide open, the wind blowing through the curtains, he walked and closed the window and saw a strange package on top of his bed. A rectangular package covered by brown paper and red twine holding it, Phil furrowed his brows and checked his room to see if something was stolen but saw that nothing was touched. Curious Phil opened the package and in it was an old book. The book was bound by leather and it has an image of a compass, a crescent moon covering one side, and a Greek ship at the bottom, on th

I asked with little curiosity. A boy like him shouldn't be tied to the Temple. "No, another item will replace its position. But no worries, I love my job." The book had a sorcerer’s wand coloured violet on the cover. A blue smooth bookmark was attached to it. The book's edges looked like silver but felt like liquid mercury. "You can take the shortcut at the end of this room." "Thanks," I mouthed out. I walked to the other end of the room and placed my hand on the wall, waiting for something to happen.

He went in front of the giant round door and when he made a push, the door opened like a revolving coin as he enters the room the door closes at the same time. What came to his view are a pile of books. The room was ginormous and majestic. He went straight to the center of the room and it took about fifty steps before he reach the center. He made a 360 degrees turn looking around. It felt like a library but there is only one study table at the far end of the room right under the humongous window that illuminates different shades of color under the ray of the sun. He noticed that the table has been piling with thick dust. No wonder the headmaster said there has been no student under this hous

The earlier I start, the closer I’ll get to leaving this place. I struggle to stand, my legs stiff from hours of sitting in one spot. “Ah,” I cry out softly, finding the light switch and turning it on. Damn. My eyes widen in disbelief. This place looks like an ancient library. The room is small, it belongs to a child, but the aesthetics tell me that the child studied endlessly. My fingers trail across the shelves, flipping through books one after another. These are limited editions, the rare copies. Then my eyes fall on a purple-colored book, and my mouth falls open. “My God!” I exclaim, lifting it carefully. “The Book of Magic.”

With the aid of my thumb and my index fingers, I picked out the book, ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I walked to the windows and parted both curtains sideways, giving up space for sunlight and fresh air. I plopped onto my bed, my back against the ceiling and I placed my elbows on a pillow and the book in front of my face, just in place for a nice time with myself and the author. As I read through lines, my eyes brightened with delight and my mind wandered far away into the world of fantasy. I After I was done with the first page, I flipped to the second when I heard a tingling sound in the kitchen. It sounded like heavy kitchen equipment like a stainless steel bowl had hit the gro

A repository of truths the current pack leadership probably wanted to be buried. Auren. My son's name came through my mind as my fingers moved over the title of a thick, navy-bound book that was labeled, "Phenomena in Half-Blood Heirs." I knew that I had found something large. I did not even hesitate as I pulled it off the shelf, sending a cloud of dust that circulated in the air that made me sneeze. I opened the book to have a knowledge of what was inside. The script was ancient, the letters were formed in a way that made them so hard to read at first, but I adjusted my eyes.

It seemed to radiate a faint magical aura. Curiosity getting the better of them, Alex picked up the book. Its cover was adorned with intricate runes and symbols, and the title read, "The Chronicles of Destiny: A Hero's Journey." The pages within were filled with tales of chosen heroes who had risen to face great challenges. As they read through the stories, a sense of connection and purpose washed over Alex. It was as if these heroes from different realms were speaking directly to them, urging them to embrace their own destiny. With the book in hand, Alex sought the wisdom of the town's sage, Mrs. Evelyn, known for her knowledge of the mystical and arcane. She lived in a cozy cottage on the

The stone, cloaked by powerful spells and protected by generations of witches, had remained concealed for hundreds of years. Its formidable power was rumored to be capable of unraveling the very fabric of existence, and for good reason—it was far too dangerous to be discovered by those who sought to misuse it. As Magnus prepared to cast the revealing spell, he couldn’t help but feel a mixture of excitement and trepidation. He had devoted his life to the pursuit of knowledge, and the stone of Utah held the promise of

he said while crying and hugging the girl's lifeless body. In his fury, the red moon was suddenly covered with dark clouds and heavy rain poured down "I curse!!!, in the name of my child... I curse the new phoenix! that every passing of a hundred years your body will burn with fire as a sign of my wrath and be reborn from your own ashes!!. And I swear that your eternal life will be one of pain until you beg for your death." The sorcerer's anger brought a terrible deluge across the land. His vengeful heart ended the lives of Cyrus' entire family and the citizens of Agnarr in just that night.
