I straddled him to deepen the kiss when we heard a whistle behind us. “If I had known you guys would give this kind of show, I would’ve brought popcorn.” I broke away to see George and Harry walking towards them. I jumped up to greet them, pulling them both into a hug. “What are you guys doing here?!” “You think we’ll leave you going against a crazy witch without our help. Besides, I have never seen a grimoire up close before,” Harry said with a sparkle in his eye. I looked at George, who rolled his eyes as Harry gushed about the books Mirja let him keep.

With a triumphant gleam in my eyes, I descended from the ladder, the ancient spell book in hand. I approached the bubbling pot, skimming through the pages of the spell book to confirm the ingredients I needed. “A feather from a raven, three drops of moonlight, a lock of the woman’s hair who you want to be forgotten, a pinch of dream dust.” I walked over to the shelf that contained the required ingredients. I had cut some strands of Isabella’s hair when I had invited her to the palace. One by one, I added the ingredients into the boiling pot and watched with an evil delight as the liquid boiled.

I shot her a glare. "Really, I spent nine years of my life ingesting one of your wretched potions and this is what you say to me?!" She shrugged. "When did the second potion come into play?" I prompted. "After nine years, your father found a suitable mate for you, Harry. I placed the attraction spell on him and your father gave you a mixture of an attraction and suppression potion for six months until you turned 18 and Harry magically walked into the picture. You made eye contact and boom!!! You two fell in love, marked each other and were supposed to live happily ever after, but well… you know what happened."

Rita The air in the hidden wing of the library was thick with the scent of aged parchment and something deeper—magic, old and restless.
