He put away the cigarette and burned the butt with his dragon breath. Not far from him, Harriet turned back. It had been a while since she tried her best to scan their surrounding. “Storm,” Harriet said. “There’s going to be another ice storm... with lightning.”

Way too much… I opened my cleavage and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, a lighter followed and I lit it up and took a big shot. My eyes shut as I let it enter my throat a bit before I puffed it out. “Relaxing.” The sound of a gasp made me open my eyes. Suzanne had already lost interest, it seemed, too enthralled by the can in her hand to notice if I cared or not. She brought him a basket of herbal teas and supplements, saying they would help him with his recovery. "You have been through so much, Richard," she said, sweetly, sitting down beside his bed. "I just want to help you feel better." Richard smiled at her wearily. "Thank you, Sharon, it's kind of you to think of me. As he drank the tea she had prepared, Sharon's smile grew tighter. Unbeknownst to Richard, she had begun introducing small doses of a harmful substance into his regimen—just enough to weaken him over time without raising suspicion.
