Ron said, pulling me back a step and signaling for the lights to dim again. The rehearsal picked back up, the lights flowing across the stage like watercolors. I didn't move. I couldn't. My head was spinning too fast to process anything. "That guy really does look like Hayden," Ron said gently, like he was trying to calm me down. "But his vibe, his voice—it's totally off. Alex passed me my cocktail and I thanked him with a quick kiss. Someone’s phone rang out, cutting through the silence, we shared a look before Harry checked his phone; ‘It’s Ron’. Oh now... He is handling it better than either of us would.” We finished the remainder of the ride in silence, the only noise to be heard is Xander’s frustrated sobs. It takes everything in me to not reach back to try to console him, but I didn’t want to risk making things worse. I didn’t know how far Ronan’s patience or understanding would go. We pulled up out front of the Wolf’s Point Lodge and Xander hopped out the back seat before Ronan could park the car. We both sigh as Ronan removes the keys from the ignition and plants a gentle kiss on my lips before we climb out in pursuit of Xander.

Finally, blinding light flashes out of Maeve’s body, blasting the darkness that took over the room, returning it to it’s normal bright state and as quickly as the wind began, it dissipates. Maeve looks down and I watch as Xander coughs. Maeve helps him to sit up and he looks at me, since I’m in his direct line of sight. “What happened?” he asks. “Bro, you just missed some serious Harry Potter shit.” I take a step toward him and then rush to catch Maeve as she passes out.

"Mr. Harris, please come with me." Ronald led Xavier to the meeting room and had Ida bring in a cup of coffee. Xavier's expression stiffened at the sight of the coffee. Having just had a cup earlier, he was not thrilled about another drink. "Thank you, Mr. Wells," he said, trying to be polite. "It's no trouble. Since Mr. Hoffman gave the instructions, I'll handle it. Can you explain the specifics of what you need?" Ronald asked. Xavier repeated his prepared speech, explaining Winter's situation and his hopes for her recovery. "I need advice on how to handle this."
