Tomorrow: the statement, Harry, Reeves, the city. After tomorrow: the hearing, the case, the weeks ahead. After all of it: somewhere with a garden they didn’t know yet. I held his hand. I read my book. He went back to his documents. The library held the evening around us. Outside the fountain ran. And in my pocket the phone sat quiet, Harry’s number in it, the weight of what he carried waiting until Tuesday to be set down.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Harry's promise to his mother. "You better be!" Harry climbed the stairs leading to his sister Reina's room. He opened the very tidy room and found his sister casually reading a very thick book. "Sis ... You're good?" "Yeah," Reina replied, not turning around. She is very focused..immersed in her book. "I have lots of questions for you." Reina closed the book and placed it on the table. She focuses on herself with her older brother. She asked Harry to sit in front of her.

"Opposites attract, babe." Brooklyn glanced at Harry and bit her lip. "So they say," she murmured. "Have you read anymore of the book?" Harry asked and Brooklyn thought of the book that told her all about werewolves. "A bit," she lied. She had read every single page. "A bit?" Harry said with a smirk. "Fine, all of it," Brooklyn muttered. "And?" "Why are you asking questions when you're in my head?" Brooklyn asked. "Because I'm sure it won't be long before you block me out," Harry said.
