We stare at each other. Neither of us speaks. Then, slowly, she steps aside, silently inviting me to pass. I think maybe she’s just some nosy pack member, curious about the girl Kieran’s been seen with. Maybe she wants to see if the rumors are true. But then… she follows me. All the way to his office. I pause, unsure whether to enter first, when the door swings open—and Matilda walks out. My stomach twists. What is she doing here, dressed like a secretary from some cheap fantasy—tight blouse, short skirt, legs on full display?

I dropped my keys in the foyer bowl, ready to sprint up the stairs and bury my face in a pillow. "Well, if it isn't Saint Emma." I froze. Matilda was lounging on the living room sofa, scrolling through her phone. She was wearing a silk robe that I knew she had stolen from my closet, and her nails were freshly painted a shade of red that looked exactly like the one Valerie Prescott wore. Of course. They were clones. "Hi, Matilda," I said, keeping my voice neutral. I started toward the stairs. "Mom said you were at the shelter again," she drawled, not looking up. "Did you save the puppies? Did you shovel the poop? You know they have actual employees for that, right?"

We should be pacifying her, not making her even more upset. “Do you think she's the angel she painted herself to be? Is that why you all are falling at her feet like dominoes?” She sneered. “Even you.” The last part was directed at Henry. “I don't even know what's going on here.” Henry muttered. I resisted the urge to laugh, realizing how serious this was. Matilda was out for someone's blood and she was not going to relent until she got it. “Matilda, please. This is not going to change anything.” Mel sighed.

I replied really pissed off "Come on Elena calm down and listen to me," "mom please leave me alone" I scream She smiled "even if I have what to make him yours??" she said and calm down, "what is it?" I ask with interest She move closer and whisper to my eye I grin "prefect" I thought "ohhhh mommy I love you!!" Matilda POV I keep changing but later decided to go with the red grow,it shows my curve not too short i let my hair down

Might I mention that it is a failed attempt because no matter what I do, I go tumbling back to the memory of this morning's kiss. If it can even be identified as a kiss. It was too non-intimate to be considered one and too passionate to not be considered. Rowan always knows how to make a person's thought jumble round the place with just one touch from him. It's a talent and a curse. A talent for him and a curse to me. Matilda comes in a few minutes later, dressed as a Parisian summer model. She wears this huge peach colored beach hat with dark sunglasses and large balls as ear rings then a red tight fitted dress coveted up with a dark full fur coat and high heels.

Zena’s words of caution, to not do anything rash yet echoed around, Then the door opened. Tange walked out holding Matilda’s hand. She wore a long dark blue velvet dress. Her hair was tied up in a high style I had never seen before. In slow motion she descended the steps, eyes down as she watched her step. When she looked up her smile was radiant and joyful. Still the same thing I love best about her. Until those hazel eyes met my own stare and then her expression dropped into one of horror. She is…happy with him?

Elena assured her. “I told you, Mads.” Gaia giggled. Matilda sighed and pulled out the items from the bag. There was a pair of skinny jeans, a stretchy tank top, and cropped leather jacket. She wasn’t sure how he guessed her style, but they were definitely things she would have picked out for herself. “This is strange. I’m not sure if I should accept it,” Mads pondered out loud. “Oh, please, Matilda. Accept it. It will dishearten the master if you don’t,” Elena pleaded.

With a shudder, I realise Rising Star are going to defeat Shadowlands. Matilda was still pregnant despite seeing Cillian's death so perhaps she was already pregnant when he left for war. I wonder idly if she hasn't told him to avoid worrying him. She is so sweet like that. So kind and thoughtful. I don't see myself with children. Rather I don't allow myself to see children. That's not my path. Usually after a challenge like this from Padgett I try to let the remnants float away. Not today. I've got to dive back in while the memory is fresh and unpick what I've seen.

ARLAN'S POV. I stood by the car, glancing at my watch while waiting for Matilda. "Where was she?" The longer I waited, the more I questioned my actions. When Matilda finally appeared, I almost didn’t recognize her. She walked toward me, swinging her hips in her black gown hugging her curves, the fabric almost too much for the occasion. Her makeup was little too much if I'm being honest, it made her look like she was ready for a runway.

Stella told her and started laughing. Matilda couldn't explain the tension she had and it was eating her whole system. She immediately knelt in front of Stella, "I'm sorry, I will never do it again!" She said while facing the ground. "You are right, you will never do it again because I will kill you right now." Stella told her, and Matilda looked at her. "Please, spare my life! I just want to scare you for money— Stella immediately grabbed Matilda's hair and pulled her hard. Matilda screamed in pain and tried to hold Stella's hand. "I warned you but you didn't listen to me." Stella told her while pulling her hair.
