I crinkled my nose and walked ahead of him down to the van. At the hotel room, I stood beside the large bed looking down at the red gown with a high slit accompanied with a feathered mask. “Why the mask?" I looked at his twinkling eyes. “It's a masquerade ball." “On the cruise liner?" He nodded, twirling a gun in hand. I looked at the gun and hoped he didn't get to give it to me after I was done dressing up. "Go dress up baby, your date is coming to pick you up.” He laid back on the bed, his left hand tucked beneath his head and the right hand still holding on to the gun.
